Norwgian black metal outfit Gorogoroth has revealed that they are currently finishing up the process of re-recording thir third studio album, "Under The Sign Of Hell." A message from the band reads as follows:

"Gorgoroth will spend the following week in Tomas Asklund's Monolith Studio to put the finishing touches on a project which has been kept secret until now: a complete re-recording of the band's third album, Under The Sign Of Hell.

"It has long been Infernus' wish to do such a re-recording, and now the work is close to an end. No release date has been set yet, but an early to mid-2011 release is likely.

"In addition, the time in the studio will be spent working on the still untitled next Gorgoroth full-length album, tentatively scheduled for a late 2011 release. Both albums will be released by Regain Records."

Post 1: Gorgoroth was founded in 1992 by Infernus, and Gaahl didn't come around until 1998; in fact he wasn't even involved in the third album. The band has a good lineup right now, as their last efforts were absolutely Kvlt.

Also, great that they have another new album coming out soon.

I would have liked to have seen them with Gaahl but I'm not that fussed. A friend of mine saw them at Bloodstock a few months ago. When he came back our conversation went like this:

"Did you see Gorgoroth?"
"Yeah"
"Were they any good?"
"They were crap."
"Oh... fair enough then."

Also i wish Frank Watkins hadn't quit Obituary to join Gorgoroth.

Seriously, I can't fathom how corrupt media whores who hold up the band with laziness and melodrama can be seen as the right way to go for bands.
