Finnish metal band To/Die/For has issued the following studio update from their first day in the studio:

"Today we started recordings in Orimattila Finland. Studio seems to be fucking awesome and it is nice to record drums in a big room which is having a great sound. We recorded also ambient drums to one song....It is gonna be nice sound with a big effects and distortion etc.At least it was fun."

"Drums recorded to songs called:
-Cry for Love (Iggy pop cover)
-Into the storm (working title)
-Death comes in march (very dark ballad kinda song)

Tomorrow Santtu will play two songs:
-Angelica (new version)
-Bittersweet bleeding heart"

"Next week we will continue with Bass,Guitars and keyboards."

"First we will record these five songs and after all record deal/label things are handled we will record rest of the album. Sixth TDF album is gonna be much darker compared to 'Wounds Wide Open,' but it will include some rocking ones too."

"We are not trying to create anything very 'technically nice' and very 'new.' We just record what ever the fuck we want to. Keyboards sounds will be mostly same as we used on All eternity and Epilogue. (korg X5 :)) very plastic kind of sounds. We're gonna keep things simple but one thing is important for us! IT MUST HAVE REAL SOUL IN IT!"
