"some music was meant to stay underground..."

Hostile Cell Clarifies Previous Comments On Negative Review

Sweden's Hostile Cell had previously posted a statement online about a negative review from Sweden Rock Magazine. The band has now posted the following comments clarifying the original statement:

"It seems that some people were quite offended by my last statement. I just want to clarify what I actually meant: I totally respect every review we get, and I don't care if it's good or bad. As long as it's made by a professional and has content, it's all good. But if you are a writer for one of the bigger rock mags, you don't trash an album just because it's in a different genre than what you prefer.

"If it has good production, and song structures, either you give it to someone who understands that type of music or you rate it for what it is. Because you should be better at rating music than the average listener. You are a professional music writer.

"I don't write music for critics, I write music for people who want to listen to it. I think it's stupid to say that 'I don't care what people say or think about my music.' There is nothing better than seeing people headbanging in the audience or writing in some forum that Hostile Cell is one of the best new bands out there. It makes my day! If you don't agree with me, it's fine. Keep reading the blog, there will be more news shortly!"
