Lanfear Issues Studio Update

Germany's Lanfear has issued the following studio update:

"Last Thursday evening we entered Dreamsound Studios in Munich. Gen put up the drums, we had a midnight snack, some beers and fell asleep."

"At Friday morning our engineer Jan set up the mics and at about 2 pm, right after the soundcheck the record button was pushed. We planned to record two, maybe three songs on the first day. Gen was in an excellent shape (and well prepared), though and did five songs in a row.
On Saturday he recorded the remaining four tracks in no time and so we suddenly had lots of leisure."

"We went on a nice Munich 'expedition' with many Weizenbiers which caused enormous headaches on Sunday morning. The good thing was, that there was not really much left to do. Gen recorded snappers for one track (yes, snappers - no misreading - fun stuff!) and after that we had a little guitar soundcheck. The guitars will be recorded in one of our home studios but we fine tuned the rhythm sound so that everything will be really heavy and will fit in the mix perfectly. What we initially wanted to say is that the first part of the new album is done. It went like clockwork."

Photos from the recording session can be seen here.
