Episode 13 Signs To Misantrof AntiRecords

Black metal act Episode 13 has signed with Norway’s Misantrof ANTIRecords for the release of the band’s third full length album, which will be titled "Death Reclaims the Earth." Misantrof, the label that was founded and is headed by Carpathian Forest bass player Daniel Vrangsinn, has scheduled the release of "Death Reclaims the Earth" for the autumn. The track listing for the album is as follows:

1. Ars Moriendi
2. Physical Comatose & Mental Overdose
3. Unmensch
4. Ignorance Is Bliss
5. Ultimate Sterilization
6. Worthless
7. Spread His Word

"Death Reclaims the Earth" is the follow up to 2008’s "Pitch Black," and sees the return of vocalist Ozan Akyol, who, together with guitarist Murat and drummer Nursuz (ZIFIR), founded Episode 13 in 2001. The band’s line up, both live and on the album, includes Sermet Durusan on bass and Serkan Zengin on guitars.

Commenting on the band’s decision to sign with Misantrof, drummer Nursuz said: "Everyone knows that finding a record deal is a lengthy process, especially these days, and the important thing for us was always to get the album released as quickly as possible, because to my mind this is the album that defines where the band is headed in the future, and that’s a future we wanted to explore immediately. Our manager also manages Daniel and she introduced us to him when we were playing in Oslo, so he had been aware of us, and what we were doing, for some time. He is a musician we have long admired, and his whole ethos for Misantrof is very interesting, so we decided to approach him when the album was ready. Fortunately he liked it and signed us straight away."

The tracks “Ars Moriendi” and “Physical, Comatose and Mental Overdose” from the new album are streaming on the band’s MySpace page at this location.

This is good news.. E13 are a great band judging by their last album and the live show I witnessed earlier this year... their manager has done both the band and the label a favour by this hook-up.
