Anthrax To Join American Carnage Tour?

During a recent interview with Megadeth's frontman Dave Mustaine with 24ur.com, Mustaine revealed that Anthrax will be part of some shows on the American Carnage Tour alongside Slayer and Megadeth. The start of the tour will take place in Canada on July 23rd, and end in the United States on September 4th. However, Anthrax will most likely make an appearance in the second leg of the tour. Here is an excerpt of Dave Mustaine taken from the interview from 24ur.com:

"I think it would have been cool if I would have gotten a chance to spend a little more time with Kirk [Hammett, METALLICA guitarist]. But we never really were close. I didn't really see him very much. But as far as everything else is concerned, it was great. We hang out with SLAYER all the time, and we're on tour with them in the States on 'American Carnage'. And ANTHRAX is gonna be joining us, so it's gonna kind of be like the 'Clash Of The Titans' thing we did back in the '90s, too."

It should be noted that Anthrax is not officially on the tour schedule, which means nothing official has been confirmed as of today.

I'd rather see Testament over Anthrax any day as long as Chuck Billy is there, so I hope if Anthrax is at the Toronto date they don't replace anybody...

Honestly this sounds like a bad idea, I mean Machine Head is almost lost in the mix, there's also Testament, Megadeth and Slayer, and they all have to split the time?

It's like World Painted Blood, it's almost as good as the others albums, but it's all but not worth listening to because their other albums are so f***ing good.

I don't think Machine Head has been included in the tour since the first time the it was rescheduled. As it stands, it's looking like just Megadeth, Slayer and Testament.

Plus, above it notes that Anthrax will likely join on the second leg of the tour, which probably means no Anthrax on any Canadian dates.

This just pushed me to make the 4-5 hour drive to see this. Never went on a small road trip, but now I'm convinced!! If Anthrax do make it, this will practically be the Big Four Tour! Fuk Metallica, Testament are the perfect replacements for them.

@#12 Agreed! I was fine with the 8 - 10 hour drive to Washington just for Slayer and Megadeth, but if Anthrax shows up as well... sh**, I'd drive for a week straight.

Not to say I don't like Testament, I just haven't listened to much of them... Some of the stuff I heard was cool, I really like Alone in the Dark... Need to pick up an album.
