Morbid Angel Enters The Studio

Florida based death metal legends Morbid Angel has revealed that they have entered Mana Studios in St. Petersburg, Florida to record their ninth full length album. This will be the band's first album to not feature drummer Pete Sandoval, who is currently recovering from a deteriorating disc. In his place will be Tim Yeung, who has previously worked with the likes of Divine Heresy, Nile and All That Remains.

Hellyeah!
Been waiting for this record ever since I started listening to them.
And even better, beacuse if they are recording it at Mana Studios, Erik Rutan is probably producing it!

They should wait it out and record with Pete... Tim Yueng just doesn't cut it for me. I feel cheated.

It has been a long time since Heretic. I read elsewhere that Eric Rutan is producing it.

Like previous posts, it would be awesome if Pete was drumming, but I will take whatever comes as it's been a long time. I am sure his replacement will do an admirable job.

Let's not forget this will be the first release with David Vincent and the releases without his vocals (& bass) we pretty cool, but it's great to know he's back.

As for Pete - get better soon!!! We all want to see you back behind the drum kit and in fine form!!!

Well, it's also been left to the imagination whether Pete has actually written the drum parts - so hopefully Tim will just be a machine for the pieces.

and most of the songs will still be writen by the other guys...the drum parts in metal usually have to conform to the music, so I'm not too worried...I can't fvckin wait!
