Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer And Anthrax To Release Bulgaria Show On DVD And Blu Ray

Thrash metal fans who have been demanding that the "big four" of thrash (Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer) release a DVD of their current European run will be excited to find out that the four bands plan on doing exactly that this September, when they will release a DVD/Blu Ray package featuring their entire sets at their recent concert in Bulgaria. The DVD will feature one hour performances from Anthrax, Megadeth and Slayer, as well as two hours of Metallica and some backstage footage and interviews thrown in for good measure. More details are expected to be revealed shortly.

This was nothing more than Metallica making it look like they are not afraid of the other bands. And by the way they closed out the show with them doing metallica over every1 doin the am i evil song only shows how metallica are scared that they would be shown up for the has beens they are.

If it was 2 hours of Slayer instead, i'd probably drop the coin on it. Even if it was 1 hour across the board for all bands i'd probably pay it. Instead, I'll have a friend download it so Metallica gets fvcked up the a$$.

I love all 4 of these bands, each of them has left a huge mark on this genre of music. I would like to see them add a couple of band to the line up for the US tour...Exodus and Testament!!

Ty rik. Even though metallica, says you, put it together, they still showed low class by having themselves end the show and not everyone on "am i evil". I can see why KK, TA, and JH from Slayer chose to not be out there. They saw it before anyone else, how low metallica was being.

Metallica sucks, no matter how high of a pedistal you put them on, they have trashed their careers out and went very low by doing what they did at Sonisphere. I didn't see it, but I like Metallica the best here out of all...but if what I'm hearing is true, then Metallica did go pretty low. I mean, to end a concert this epic? Everyone should come out and play! And yes, I mean EVERYONE, even if that did mean 4 drummers and so on, it would have been that much cooler! My opinion, though, say what you will, but it seems that branded is right.

^Seriously metallica was f***ing badass until they came out with their self tilted album which was alright on my account, then they come out with that piece of sh** album Load, then all of a sudden they turn that piece of sh** into a pile of sh** which was reload and just when i thought they couldnt get any worse, boy did they ever prove me wrong with that garbage, ungrateful, unforgiving, nasty sounding beer sh** i have every morning St. Anger album just made me lose every piece of respect i had for them!

I dislike metallica (to say the least). As someone who obviously knows a lil' something about history said, "they died in 1991".
And I'm not really fond of Antharx (who I do believe we're a good choice, despite other opinions).
And the 2 hours metallica vs 1 hour the rest is annoying (again, to say the least).

Ive seen video of max doing overseas large festivals over the years but never a large one here in the states....this tour would be the proper platform....soulfy shows are always high energy...HR on the real, i still think 1 day that reunion will happen, but it on andres.....

Just so I'm sure: Are we saying that Lars is the best drummer? I have no idea what 'best' means in this context but, in any context Lars is not bad, does what he needs to do but in no way the 'best'. I'd say the other three drummers from the big four alone would have better drumming ability to Lars. And if you consider drummers from other bands then Lars doesn't even have a chance.
If you don't get the drift, Metallica do what they do but in no way are they more superior to any other band as far as singing, playing ability or stage presence goes. They have released albums which are popular to a wide spread audience and you would probably find that fans at a metallica gig may not necessarily be into metal but just into Metallica.

I'm with most of ya on 99 percent of your points but I have to wonder if caps lock metallica fanboy might have a small point. I think the driving force for this reunion for Megadave (and maybe others) was the potential bottom line. Not disparraging making a living, but Metallica makes alot more money touring than the other 3 bands. Dave wouldn't have swallowed his pride if the potential money wasn't as huge as he thought he could get. He was selling his pride. Lars and James are the same way. I don't get the feeling any of em woulda been there except Slayer if it wasn't for the huge payday. I agree with Branded and his characterization of Metallica and their motives tho!

Umm saw the show theatre thing and was impressed. Not been a huge fan of Metallica since Cliff's idea's yadadda yadda have been out of their music but they were solid. What's with James Hetfield he makes some weird faces and yes I LOL'd at them.

I did see the show in theaters and I thought it was a great idea as well......Anthrax was really good , Joey is still Anthrax i dont care what anybody says, his voice is a little weaker but what do you expect . The whole surprise of the show for me was Megadeth, even though Dave's voice was shot, the band sounded awesome...Slayer, which is my favorite, played good, Tom recovering from back surgery looked great physically and sounded great as usual in concert...Metallica of course trying to steal the show with all the theatrics and pyro, sad thing is that they need that to be the show, Anthrax , Megadeth , and Slayer just came out and thrashed as usual. No staged b.s. to make the show all about them...Metallica stay mainstream, I will continue to enjoy my thrash the way it originated.
good points about the fan thing (filling up when metallica came out) however everyone who has megadeth/metallica beef all need to smoke a joint and relax it was a loooong time ago, also of cousre your gonna go the way of the big money, these people have families what better way to give their children a good education and good start in life than to make as much money as possible, hell if i had the chance to sell-out i would to support my family to the maximum... i love megadeth, metallica, slayer, anthrax, all of em theyre amazing

Sorry...I used to like Metallica, but I have lost respect for them as they are trying so desperately to be 'hard' when really they lost their 'metal edge' when Load was released. A hard rock band they are nowadays, but a metal band they haven't been for years!
You can download this right now from the usual sites. Just watched it and it kicks ass, Anthrax plays great even if their songs are a little dull, they have the spirit. Megadeth rules but Mustaine´s voice is not what it used to be, Slayer are on top of their game but Hanneman should exercise a little, he´s a fat pig now and Mr. King looks ridiculous with all the chains, spikes, tattoos and Metallica are the same as always, sh**ty setlist and sentimental sh**. Am i evil will make your blood pump faster even if you don´t like the song, shame that only Lombardo represents Slayer. Overall it´s all great to see them together but i hate metallica having more time than the others onstage.
