"some music was meant to stay underground..."

Cough Signs To Relapse Records

Cough formed in 2005 and has independently released an EP, "The Kingdom," as well as a full-length album "Sigillum Luciferi" via Forcefield Records. The band recently wrote follow-up to "Sigillum Luciferi" and has been working on the album with producer Sanford Parker. The new album, titled "Ritual Abuse," is expected to see a fall 2010 release date via Relapse Records.

Cough commented on the new album, "Ritual Abuse is the result of all the shit and suffering we put ourselves through to continue to write this music. Hopefully you all feel as miserable listening to it as we did creating it."

Cough also has the following upcoming tour dates:

6/8 Philadelphia , PA M Room
6/9 New York , NY Cake Shop
6/10 New Haven , CT Whitney House
6/11 Providence , RI AS220 (w/ WORLD BURNS TO DEATH)
6/12 Allston , MA O’Briens
6/25 Virginia Beach , VA The Warehouse
6/26 Raleigh , NC DIVEbar (FREE show w/ HOG)

That is the worst band name and concept for an album I have ever heard. I don't know what else needs to be said....

You should take a listen to the band though. If you like slow, super-heavy, doom these guys do it as well as anybody. I've liked this band for quite a while.
