Manowar To Release Ronnie James Dio Tribute Album

Heavy metal veterans Manowar have announced that they will be compiling a tribute album in honour of recently deceased heavy metal icon Ronnie James Dio, who passed away on May 16th as a result of stomach cancer.
Bassist Joey DeMaio said: "Heavy metal has lost a great artist and a true gentleman. I had the privilege of being his friend and I, along with other friends and admirers, wish to honor him."

Joey, Eric and Manowar will be totally respectful. Eric is under the gun to learn Dio's vocals for something this grand. I can't think of a better band than Manowar to even offer to tribute a legend like Dio. I think something like this will propel both Dio and Manowar to the fore.
