German heavy metal legends the Scorpions has announced that they are hoping to perform their last ever concert in June 2011, at the Borobuder Temple in Indonesia. "This concert will mark the end of the 45-year musical journey of the Scorpions. Their management agency has met us and expects the concert to be held in mid-June of 2011." Agus Canny, marketing director of PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko told the Jakarta Globe on Monday. While the idea has been met with positive reaction so far, the temple's management company, Purnomo Siswo Prasetyo, will have to perform some tests at the site to see if iconic Buddhist site can with stand the volume of which the Scorpions are expected to play.

Wonderful idea! It'll be mystical, with Borobudur Temple as the backdrop! Scorpions might have made the right decision to end their world tours in Indonesia, where they have fans that are overlooked by any statistics. There are about 250 million people in Indonesia, a 0.5% modest calculation translates into 12.5 million fans. Come to Indonesia, even in obscure tiny supermarkets in small towns people play "Wind of Change" as their favorite background music!!
