Funeralium Issues Second Album Update

French act Funeralium has checked in with the following update about lineup changes and working on a new album:

"Line up changes: We faced again some big line up changes during the last few months. Indeed, Tenebrion (former bass player) and Poky (2nd guitars) decided to leave the band for various reasons that we won't enumerate here. We thank both of them for their great involvements through the years and we wish them all the best with their other bands (Mourning Dawn & Heol Telwen).

"We decided to recruit Charleward (an old friend from the band) as a 2nd bass player. We decided to keep that 2 basses setup as that was a musical approach that we wanted to explore again in Funeralium. We have now rehearsed several times with him and we are already extremely satisfied about his involvement, creativity and motivation. He directly understood what we wanted from him and that's a real fresh air in the band. We haven't found a 2nd guitar player for the moment as we haven't found one which could fit. For the moment, we chose to go on working with different guitar players for the upcoming gigs and our 2nd album recording to come.

"2nd album: We are proud to announce that the composition of our 2nd album is nearly finished now. We just have some work remaining regarding the vocals but this should not take too much time. So that new album will gather 5 tracks in total whose titles will be soon revealed. Musically speaking that album shows a new direction towards a genre without even less musical barriers. To get an idea think about the most vicious gangbang between Trouble, Candlemass, Bethlehem, Celtic Frost, Autopsy, Darkthrone and Neurosis. More precision will be revealed on time.

"Gigs: We have just been confirmed at the 2010 edition of the 'Festival des arts bourrins.' This gig will take place on the 27th of August in a town of Upper Normandy (La Neuville Chant d'Oisel) and will be the first gig of Funeralium with the new 2010 line up. Berserk, our former guitar player, kindly proposed us to play the session guitar player for that gig. Anyway, we are preparing a ultra heavy show where we will play material from our 2nd album. You will find more precision in the gig section."
