Blaze Bayley Splits With Drummer Larry Paterson

Larry Paterson, the drummer for former Iron Maiden and Wolfsbane vocalist Blaze Bayley has announced that he has decided to part ways with the rest of the band. A message from Paterson reads as follows:

"It’s been a while since I wrote anything here, sorry about the delay.

"Unfortunately I want to let you all know that I am no longer drumming for Blaze Bayley. Personal and professional reasons – but then, isn’t it always?

"I have met and communicated with so many amazing people during my time in the band. Thanks for all of your messages and all the support that you showed. It’s been great and I hope to see and keep in touch with you with my next project(s)... more on that later when they are more solid.

"As for my time in the band I just wanted to say here that I have never met nicer people and better musicians than most of the guys from the bands we have played with over the years. It’s a huge list, but I wanted to single out Mainpain, Fury UK, Sinocence, Decadenze, Turbyne, Rain, Ibridoma, Motherstone, Cambion, Voodoo Six, Soulline, Dedlok, Enemynside and so on. If I haven’t mentioned you, I’m sorry... put it down to two tired typing fingers!

"The fans that have supported this band have been incredible. As have the street team, webteam and forum moderators (Yes Tim.....you’re included in that list mate ;) Thanks again for the help and friendship.

"So... I’m off. More news soon. Keep an eye on LPDrums.net to see what happens next. I’ll also get the book At The End Of The Day updated and reissued."
