Celebrity Apprentice: Bret Makes It to the Finale

After last week’s elimination leaving only five contestants, and two weeks left of Celebrity Apprentice, it was not surprising to see Donald shake up the boardroom.
With the final five contestants drinking and dancing (Sharon Osbourne’s version of Rod Stewart’s “If You Think I’m Sexy” is disturbing) Trump calls the remaining five back into the boardroom and within minutes fires Maria. Down to four, The Donald then lets them know that there will be a brief interview with each, and then two more will be fired.
The interviews are quick. Bret Michaels is specifically called out for being too kind, while Sharon appears to begin breaking down, out of gas. Back in the boardroom Trump wastes little time firing both Celebrity Chef Curtis Stone and Sharon Osbourne. Was it the rendition of the Rod Stewart song from earlier in the night? Possibly, but what we do know for sure is that long-time favorite Holly is in the finals against underdog Bret Michaels.
The final challenge is for Holly and Bret to create a flavor of Snapple. The teams will be judged based on a unique Snapple flavor taste, full marketing and advertising to support their new drink and cause, and a launch event in front of Snapple nation. Added to Bret’s team are fired contestants ex-Olympian Summer and Darryl Strawberry while Holly gets back newly fired ex-Wrestler Maria and Curtis.
To begin the challenge each team must select a flavor for their new drink. Both Bret and Holly select Passion Fruit and have to negotiate to see who will get to use the flavor of choice. Curtis Stone steps in to negotiate with Bret which is best described by Stone saying, “It was like taking candy from a baby from Bret”. Not only did Michaels lose out on his flavor, but also allowed Curtis to get all the flavors they wanted and call Bret a “Sucker” on national television. A HUGE tactical error on Bret’s part; realized once Stone walks out of the room. Forced to go with a secondary choice, Michaels comes up with new Snapple flavor with vanilla called “Trop A Rocka”. Next he begins discussing how he can inject humor in his advertisement for Snapple and Diabetes.
The episode ends in high stress for Bret Michaels. In addition to his flavor of choice taken from him, there is a hot actress in a business suit that is proving more of a distraction for Bret than help, and then his vision is ruined when he learns there is no Dolly Track to assist in shooting the commercial.
Holly and team have already wrapped up their commercial takes while Bret and company are dropping F-bombs and already beginning to show defeat, of course, no one expected Bret to get this far, so we’ll need to watch the finale and see if there is one more upset left for Michaels. He is wearing both a bandana and cowboy hat, so you know, anything could happen...
