Equilibrium Streaming New Song "Der Ewige Sieg" And Preparing To Shoot New Music Video

German folk metal act Equilibrium has issued the following update about streaming a new song online and shooting a music video:

"We just posted another new song called 'Der ewige Sieg' here on MySpace! We will also shoot a video for this song which comes off our upcoming album 'Rekreatur!' 'Der ewige Sieg' is about the renewal of nature and mankind at the turn of the year which also is connected to the album title. The video clip for that song will be directed by Florian Puchert. He’s an old friend of the band since I composed the music for some of his movies. Now we’re turning tables and he does the flick for our music. Other than our last video we won’t have that many digital effects in it rather than going for a more organic and realistic look. He and his team have tons of good ideas and we are looking forward to work with him! 'Rekreatur' is set to be released on June 18 via Nuclear Blast!"

It's pretty good but I don't think Rekreatur will be better than Sagas.

As much as I love folk metal I couldn't really get into "Sagas." The vocals were too low in the mix and the non-metal instruments got so overblown in two of the songs that it ended up being more like a "Sandals, Jamaica" commercial than anything else. The other songs were certainly serviceable, but didn't blow me away. I'm hoping "Rekreatur" is awesome though, as these guys seem like they could do something easily on par with the best folk metal outfits.
