Resist The Thought Announces New Album, "Damnation," Release Date

Sydney five-piece metal outfit Resist The Thought has announced May 7th, 2010, as the release date for "Damnation," the band's follow up to the 2008 EP "The Gift of Sacrifice." Formed in 2007, Resist The Thought blends crushing breakdowns with fast paced technical riffs to create their own brand modern metal. The new album should be no exception, with guitarist Tim Aaron commenting, "We really pushed ourselves in creating this record. We took six months off touring and just focused on writing and demoing. From the start, we had the intention of making a timeless record we are all proud of."

The title of the album, "Damnation," sets the theme for the record which revolves around the idea that humankind will be responsible for their own destruction. Through constant touring, the band has earned themselves a reputation as one of Sydney’s up and coming metal bands.

"Damnation" is in stores Friday May 7th, 2010 in Australia through New Justice Records. In the meantime, check out some of their music on the band's MySpace player.
