Leaves' Eyes Issues New Tour Report From The Road

Leaves' Eyes has checked in with the following road report:

"We are on our way from Helsinki to Oslo/Norway where we will play the last show of this tour. The scenery is quite impressive as we are actually plowing through the Nordic ice! Our last report ended in Lissabon 10 days ago where we had a great show and met a lot of cool fans. After that we had to endure extreme boredom on a 36 hour drive to Dortmund. The score so far on the trip to Dortmund:

- 5 full length movies
- two seasons of Simpsons
- countless piles of awful gas station food
- about 3000 liters of beer and other assorted alcoholic beverages
- 3 tour bus drivers fully absorbed with driving
- a shitload of bad jokes

"Germany: After enjoying the hot weather in Portugal, Dortmund welcomed us with the rainy and cold climate of good old Germany, but also with the long awaited ‘Special Fan edition of Njord’. One of the new songs, 'At Heavens End,' already proved to be a killer live song. After the show we had a really great spontaneous party with Kamelot and Adagio in and in front of our tour busses til the morning light.

"The German leg of the tour ended with a fantastic show in Hamburg. Unfortunately we had to leave the nice Hanse town very early in order to be in time for the Scandinavian part of the tour. First stop: Gothenburg.

"Sweden: Ahhh Sweden, the land of Ikea, long legged blond women and countless great metal bands. Both shows in Gothenburg and Stockholm were a lot of fun, although Sander’s pedal board died, but this problem was quickly solved. The after show party in Gothenburg was used by the crew to party hard! It’s not easy to work with such impossible musicians;) The band of course went to sleep at 20.00, as always! There are rumours that a certain ‘ red haired’ guitar player was spotted in ‘ The Anchor Bar’ in Stockholm singing a ‘perfect’ rendition of ‘I want to know what love is’ from Foreigner just before going on the Ferry to Finland.

"Finland: In Helsinki we met with our friends and former touring partners from Battlelore, as well as members of Lordi and Stratovarius, sharing some nice tour memories after the show. A party in one of Helsinki’s Rockclubs was a great ending of a great day. In Tampere a big explosion almost blew out all of the windows of the surrounding buildings, just as we finished the show and were outside having some fresh air.

"We of course first looked for the pyro guy from Kamelot whom might have gotten a little trigger happy…… We found out that the city is building a tunnel underground where the club is. Still we felt like armageddon was upon us! Nevertheless the Finnish shows were exciting and hot like a Sauna! This leaves us with one more show in Oslo Norway tonight! Stay tuned for a full tour recap with pics and vids soon!"
