The Funeral Pyre Comments on Recent Shows With Light This City

Los Angeles black metallers THE FUNERAL PYRE have just completed a week of west coast shows, which started with their friends, EARLY GRAVES and met up with label mates, LIGHT THIS CITY for four of their final five farewell shows. As previously announced, THE FUNERAL PYRE will release their new album, “Vultures At Dawn,” on June 8, 2010 via PROSTHETIC RECORDS. The album was recorded by Adam Campbell at Awkward Studios, mixed by Ryan Butler (Landmine Marathon, Misery Index, Phobia) at Arcane Digital and was mastered by Dave Shirk (Incantation, Nile, Today Is The Day) of Sonorous Mastering. Artist Justin Barlett (Trap Them, Sunn0))), Intronaut) is handling the album’s artwork.

Vocalist John Strachan commented on the shows, “It was a great time playing the final Light This City shows. It’s sad to say that's finally over, but we're glad we were a part of it. Good luck to all of them. We are also heading out on a summer tour with our friends in Early Graves.”....
