Ryan Waste, guitarist of crossover thrash metal band Municipal Waste, has announced that he has formed a new band entitled Volture, which will be more in the vein of bands such as Judas Priest, Mercyful Fate and Heavy Load. A statement from Ryan Waste reads as follows:
"Ever since I was a young headbanger, I dreamed of doing a real heavy metal band. Growing up on Judas Priest and eventually delving into more obscure NWOBHM bands, I yearned to have one of my own. It wasn’t until 8 years ago when I met our vocalist, Brent Hubbard, that I thought this would actually be possible. His natural singing ability floored me upon the first note and I knew we needed to start a band. It’s been a long time coming, but I am proud to say we have arrived in full force to shock the world with Volture! In this heavy metal ensemble, I returned to my musical roots as a bass player along side the phenomenal shredder Nick Poulos on guitar. Joined by veteran Barry Cover behind the kit, we are now stronger than ever."
