Cradle of Filth To Compose Music For "Twilight: Eclipse" Movie Soundtrack
UK symphonic gothic black metal band Cradle of Filth has announced that they will be composing the soundtrack to the upcoming film “Twilight: Eclipse.”
The band comments, “We were recently approached by Rob Zombie for his next film, but ‘Twilight’ presents a better opportunity for us in the long run.”
Stephenie Meyer comments, “This band’s music will help highlight the darker aspects of my novels. as a big metal head myself, I am glad to see metal bands participating in the movie. When I approached Dani, he said he was a big Twilight fan and very passionate about Bella Swan and Edward Cullen as well.”
In addition to Cradle of Filth, the movie will feature cameos by Vampires Everywhere! and Peter Steele of Type O Negative.

oh sigh...i keep watching documentaries where people say dani started out saying, "i will make money off this" and he has done just that. cannot say I like COF being associated with "twilight", but doing so will certainly pay the bills for a while despite what it might do for their "credibility" as a metal band. part of me is laughing and shaking my head and thinks this is sad and pathetic and the other part of me respects dani for being such a shrewd business man, seeing an opportunity and seizing it regardless of what people will think of the decision, and for placing COF firmly in the public consciousness.
This really doesn't surprise me at all and I agree with post #6. Why does everybody always get mad when a band makes a move towards popularity? Isn't the whole idea to sell albums and be as successful as possible? I think Dani took one step closer to making Cradle of Filth a household name and possibly even garner a Grammy. Hopefully they will someday enjoy as great a successs and popularity as the all time greatest band in the world... KORN!!! God bless you all. Each and every one of you. XXOO

Uh, no. If that's what we're all going for, then why in the world even bother starting a metal band?
Post 3 was hilarious.
And this article I thought was totally serious for a second. Because it's so believable. But...I really don't care about COF in any case.
Sounds like a good match CRADLE OF FILTH and TWILIGHT franchise novelist Ms. Stephanie Meyer: I just about like everyone in the Casting of Twilight especially "Jasper Hale & Alice" the lead roles of Edward Cullen & Bella is pretty okay. I just wish she/Bella wasn't so clingy/harsh on him/Edward. The 2nd movie was a little bit better but Edward hardly wasn't in it...'that was upsetting but I must admit the Wolves were intriqueing, awesome. Hopefully this 3rd movie will be evenly equal out and not so "clingy" ...'with lots of haunt chills in it. COF definately adds a "nice" chill-edge to the mix...'I look forward to that!
I thought for sure this was an April Fools joke and now I can't believe that it isn't lol. I don't even know what to think about this to be honest. I don't care all that much cause I know it's not like Cradle Of Filth will start being pop because they do music for this movie.
I totally agree with Post#6. Well just like they say business is business, and music is just another business for some people to make their living and pay their rent. I know for some people that music means more to them but for COF its just another business and their idea for Twilight is just another boost for their business.....
^^^I couldn't have said it better myself. I'm glad that cradle is embracing their femenine side with their contribution to the greatest all time movie series ever made. In addition, I heard that Dani is going to fashion his stage wardrobe to mimic the shiney vampires in Twighlight. I can't wait to see that. XXOO!
