Shadowside Checks In With Tour Road Report

Brazilian metallers Shadowside have checked in with the following report about their recent stop in Rio Claro:
"Hello metalheads, rock maniacs and Shadowside dwellers! First of all, it SUCKS that many of you didn't get to watch the concert last Saturday (March 20) that was being streamed live. Apparently so many people were watching it that the website simply could not handle the traffic and went down. We were so frustrated (not to say pissed) that our fans all over the world didn't get to see how much fun it was. We'll make it up to you with pics, videos and of course - the tour report! Follow me through a day of adventures...
"5am - Leaving Santos. Day started very early for us all. I couldn't manage to sleep since I was kinda inspired working on some new songs so for once I wasn't late to leave, not even a minute. It all seemed like it would be a really quiet 4 hour trip from Santos to Rio Claro, with a quick stop in Campinas where Ricardo (our new bass player, who will be properly introduced to you all this week!) lives. We were about half an hour away from his home when he texts me asking how much longer we will take to get there so he can start packing his stuff and as I'm texting him back, a car suddenly stops in front of us due to traffic and a 'BANG!' wakes everyone else up. We all look behind us and this huge truck had hit us. No one got hurt thankfully and we continued our trip, however no one managed to fall back asleep. Nothing like a small car accident to get everyone in the mood to rock out!
"10am - Arriving in Rio Claro I went straight to the hotel to get some sleep. The boys went straight to the venue for soundcheck. At about 6 we all met there for the press conference, a live interview for the local TV and after dinner, got ready to rock! The audience was fired up and so were we! The sound was amazing, crowd was going nuts and the best part of it is that I could notice something a while back but last night was made even clearer: our fanbase is formed by people of all ages. There were a few guys that were about 60-70 as well as lots of kids, lots of people around the 20's, 30's and 40's. There was this 3-4 year old boy on his dad's shoulders, with a drumstick in his hands that were almost as big as he was, making it his very own guitar while showing me his little metal horns ..m/, headbanging and singing along!!! That kid alone would have made my day *laughs* but with him were lots of other people and they all made it a very special event and an awesome night.
"After we were done, we talked to the fans then headed back to the hotel for a quick stop before we got back on the road. Exhausted, happy, with a great feeling of having had an awesome time with our fans."
