Amalgama Announces Free Albany Show

New York metallers Amalgama have issued the following update about playing a free show on March 3rd:

"Amalgama will be headlining a Free show at Savannah's (The Dublin Underground) in downtown Albany on Wednesday March 3rd. The show is sponsored by 104.9 The Edge, part of the ongoing 'Capital Underground Live' concert series hosted by Ralph Renna. Joining us on the bill are Troy-based Tides of Tangiers and Schaghticoke (don't ask us how to pronounce that) rockers Medusa Oblongata.

"The show kicks off at 8pm and it's our first gig after round one of our upcoming recording sessions and looks to be a good time. We'll most likely be debuting a host of new Amalgama tunes that will be on the new CD so if you want a sneak peek of what's to come from us you definitely can't miss this show! (There is a distinct possibility of some of this show being filmed for possible release in the near future - either on the web or DVD release so if any of you want your mug on camera don't miss this one!).

"Unfortunately, this is a 21+ show BUT the 104th person wins $104 from The Edge! So if you like money then you should definitely try and make it out. In recording news, we have been kicking around possible titles. We have come to a quandary: do we use a title that's drawn from the lyrics or should we try and find something overarching that represents the record as a whole? Let us know what you think."
