Severe Torture Signs To Season of Mist

Dutch death metal band SEVERE TORTURE has announced their signing to Season of Mist. Bassist Patrick comments: "We are very excited about signing to Season of Mist! They have an amazing bandroster and we can't wait to release our new album on the same label as Dillinger Escape Plan, Cynic, Morbid Angel, Watain and many others. We already had our share of label experience in the past, some good, some bad, and we have the feeling that working with Season of Mist is going to be a big step up for us! Merci beaucoup, motherfuckers!"

SEVERE TORTURE is currently in Split Second Sound Studios in Amsterdam with producer Jochem Jacobs, hard at work on their upcoming fifth album. You can find some videos of the recording sessions on the band's YouTube channel.

They need to bring the brutal back, like from Feasting on Blood and Misanthropic, their last two albums were sweet but lacked the sick titles and hatred. Hopefully they do what most bands do when they realize the fans like the old stuff.

Greyback, music is about expressing emotion. As far as lyrics and song titles go, I would go out on a limb to say that TRUE musicians write music from the heart and don't get songwriters to aid them. What that means is, if these guys are staying true to who they are and what they wanted to see in music...then they're just writing according to what they're dealing with or feeling like. Maybe they're not feeling so full of hatred and brutality anymore dude. I'm not saying you have to enjoy the new stuff because in the end people listen to what music appeals to them and their current situation...but maybe you will think twice about openly bashing a band for not doing the same thing over and over again. It gets boring being repetitive man!
