Ozzy Osbourne Scraps New Album Title "Soul Sucka," Confirms Ozzfest 2010

In a recent message from Ozzy Osbourne bass player Blasko, it was announced that Osbourne has decided not to name his new album, "Soul Sucka" after receiving a large amount of criticism from his fan base. The message reads as follows:

"Been in the studio all week tracking the new Ozzy record. Should be done with my parts by Sunday.

"Until yesterday, the disc was going to be called Soul Sucka. However, Ozzy realized that “None of my fan base liked the title. They were like, 'I can’t imagine me walking around the fucking house with the words 'Soul Sucka' on my T-shirt.' So I was like, 'Fuck it. I’ve got to come up with something else!'" The now untitled set is due out in July, the same month Osbourne says that Ozzfest will return after a one-year break. "After Ozzfest I’m doing the most extensive tour of my life," he says. "It’ll be something like, 3,025 dates."

Word? But that title was bangin dawg!

In all seriousness though, I'm glad he's changing it. A title that sounded unfit for the prince of darkness.

Nah, soul sucka was f***in a. I would've bought it. Too many metal albums have boring manowarish names; soul sucka was original and in-your-face.

Im predicting Ozzy to croak somewhere along the way!!! There is no way he can make it through all those shows with out having to take a 2-3 week brk here and there!!

This is great news about the tour,if its factual and not taken out of context, however its coming from his bass player, take that into consideration, and until sharon and ozzy annouce themselves that the tour is on and annouce actuall dates, im not getting my hopes....lp title change was the right call, but again we re relying on the bass player.....and doesnt 3,000 dates constitute to 9 years of touring?......

Hopefully it's sooner than later, and he takes Sharon with him!

Hmmm, I do recall telling people not to judge the album title because Ozzy might change it in the future.

But I could've been dreaming...

Praise be to almighty Thor, ruler of Asgard! Seriously, Ozzy should name the album "I've lost my mind so much I fired the guitar player who made my music and hired a power/death guitar player who, while brilliant, doesn't really fit my sound. Thanks Sharon!" Now THAT'S an album title.

My lie detector just buzzed. Even if he played a show every day, that's more than 8 years of touring, and I doubt that at his age he'll be able to do that.

Still, glad about the title change anyway.

Something tells me the new album title won't be much better. Or that it won't matter because the album will be toss. I'm a little interested in it but I doubt I'll buy it.

Glad to hear Ozzfest is back, but I'm already making an 8 hour round trip to go to Mayhem, so the lineup better be amazing or...I won't go.

I almost certainly won't buy this album (especially w/o Wylde); at most I'll just get it from the library. FREELOADING FTW.

And why the big deal about the 3,025 date comment? Of course it won't be that big, it'll probably be like any other world tour. Again, I may or may not go, I'm really not thrilled about the absence of Zakk Wylde on this album/hypothetical future tour.

Hell yea, can't wait. Glad ozzfest is back, hopefully they'll have a better lineup than Mayhem. I'm interested in hearing what Gus G can come up with, but I am also a little p***ed on why Zakk isn't going to be on it. But I'll still buy it.

#17, don't you read the papers? Almighty Odin died and is spending his eternity protecting us from Sutur the fire demon. Meanwhile, the Odinforce has passed on to Thor who is now the all-father while Loki has been transformed into a woman. It's all very facinating turn of avents.

It's Gus G. from Firewind, Crushem. He's a crazy-talented guitarist, but he ain't no Zakk. Maybe the new album should be called "Ball-Zakk", 'cause it sounds like the man got bent over......hope Ozzfest has a strong line up, though.

I'm actually interested in an Ozzy band with a contemporary metal-style guitarist like Gus-G (Firewind/Arch Enemy)

Could be good.

I'm more interested in The line-up for Ozzfest, since mayhem is garbage besides Lamb of God and 3 Inches of Blood.

ozzy osbourne is not a musical entity anymore...hasn't been for a long time. Its a f***ing capitalist franchise perpetuated by the gold digging Whore of Darkness, Sharon O.

The new record should appropriately titled: 'Welcome to The Wonderful World of Ozz-ney'...and the Ozzfest should be complete with rollercoasters and teacups for the kiddies...
