This week Axl Rose (Guns N Roses) and Slash traded tweets via Twitter related to getting the band back together. Slash started with a post related to putting together a concert to help the effort in Haiti. Axl took this to mean to put back the original GNR lineup and blasted Slash for using this tragedy as an excuse. Slash responded, clarifying his intent of raising money with a concert of many bands, not reuniting GNR. Always needing the last word it is rumored that Axl then followed up with a tweet that said simply: OK…

This week’s “Can You Believe It” band is KIX, they are scheduled to play both the Midwest Rockfest AND M3 Rock Festival…

Joe Perry (Aerosmith) in an interview this week once again mentioned looking for a new lead singer to replace Steven Tyler. No mention of any short-list names; however, Perry did mention it should probably be someone well known by their fans. Here is your chance Huey Lewis, you were incredible in the karaoke movie Duets (“I’m a Singer now”), now go for it!…Both David Lee Roth (Van Halen) and Gene Simmons (KISS) were at the filming of The Wolfman movie this week where they spent hours “howling” in the background. The Director said both were very good howlers and was glad to have them on board for the movie. No word on who was better, but my sources tell me you can measure a man’s howl by the amount of chest hair he has, so you know, actually, let’s just call this one a draw…Slash leaked out that he will be appearing on the new Cypress Hill album, returning the favor of Cypress appearing on his own album that Is coming out soon. Anyone else think Cypress Hill is only keeping around Slash so they can smoke hash out of his hat?...

Adler’s Appetite is creating new music, closing the circle on an incredible comeback from Steven Adler (Guns N Roses). Just two years ago Steven had reached his bottom due to drugs and now through hard work has climbed his way all the way back. Good for Adler! Of course, there is no way this album makes it to a release date, but still, good for Steven…

Ratt has confirmed a couple titles off the upcoming album, “Infestation.” First, a song titled “Look out Below” that may reference a stripper at the top of the pole, looking down, before she slides to the bottom, and secondly, “A Little Too Much,” a song that probably has to do with being addicted to hookers…A new book titled “Rock and Roll Mercenaries” by Neil Daniels features interviews by many rockers including Ronnie James Dio, Nikki Sixx, and Foreigner. Foreigner? I realize the book is taking an eclectic look across rock music, but I feel there should be a line drawn. If you include Foreigner you are really opening the door for interviews with Duran Duran, DeBarge, and Johnny Lawrence, the actor who played “Johnny”, the head of the Cobra Kais’, in The Karate Kid…

W.A.S.P. front man Blackie Lawless confessed that the song “Animal (Fuck Like a Beast)” was written during a time he was angry with God. In other shocking news, the song “School Daze” was written because Blackie: “Didn’t like homework”…
