"some music was meant to stay underground..."

Joe Thrasher Issues New Album Recording Update

Joe Thrasher has issued the following statement about releasing a new album:

"Hello metal fans!! We hope your 2010 is kicking off to awesome start! We had are best year yet in 2009 and are looking forward to 2010 kicking it's ass. We currently have 10 songs ready for the next release and we have studio time booked at the end of February for tracking the drums. Once we have the drums done, we'll be taking care of guitar, bass and vocal tracks at our home studios. We're hoping to have this next album out by the summer. We haven't set an album title yet but here are the titles of the tunes:

Homicide
Leatherhead
Life Erodes
Metal til you Puke
Out for Blood
Canadian Metal
Hell Hounds
This is a Test
Cries of War
(We Are) The Ones

"Any thoughts what we should call the album?? We are super pumped about this album, all the tunes are killer and we love playing them. What else is going on.. We just played our first show in Toronto a couple weekends ago and it was fucking amazing. I've always had the impression that Toronto's Metal Scene was so-so, but this show kicked ass. An underground, hole in the wall, small room packed with a shit-whack of hungry, drunken, die-hard Metal Heads. A great way to kick off the new year. We're looking forward to hitting Toronto again in the near future.

"Metal Forces is being well received and the first pressing is almost sold out. Thanks to everyone who has bought a copy - we're grateful for your support. We've also had a lot of excellent support through different distributors all around the world and the list of people we're working with is constantly growing.

"One of our big goals for 2010 is to get more media support. We've been well supported in 2009 by some radio stations and several webzines, but are aiming higher for 2010. IF you'd like to help us out with spreading the word please e-mail matt@joethrasher.com Anyway.. that's all for now. Thank you for all the support you've given us, we are truly grateful."
