Adust Parts Ways With Guitarist Guy Jones

U.K. metallers Adust have parted ways with their guitarist Guy Jones. Jones issued the following statement about the parting:

"Often when I find out about band members leaving bands I naively believe there would be animosity between the members. Going through my head the scenarios that might of occurred and the arguments that may have led up to the departure of the member. It would also be naive of me to think that some of you reading this will think the same. Before I continue I cannot stress enough that this wasn't the case in this instance. More than heartbreaking yes, But in no way could anything like this effect the love and extreme friendship I have with Dave, Rob, Dan and Matt. They are sure to have, success and it will be greeted with the biggest smile because deep down inside me it will still feel like my band and my boys that I got up on stage with. I will still share the same butterflies that pass between the band before ground breaking moments.

"I cannot list the amount of achievements that we have all been through as Adust. We've filmed two video's, played some fantastic shows, got to the finals of the bloodstock competition, Recorded two c.d's. One of which being available to buy in HMV stores. I could keep going on. But by far the most significant and important moment that happened when this band came into my life, was that I met 4 of the most caring, kind and loving people I could ever meet. They where there for me from the beginning and the smallest of problems wouldn't go unnoticed. I found a group of the best people I could ever be friends with and I thank them that they took me in the way they did.

"In the years that I have been in Adust I finished off at High school and went through a National Diploma in music, achieving the highest marks in both. So as you can realize the years of being in Adust and at the same time going through education I was constantly being shaped into the man I am beginning to grow into today. With those parts of my life over I had to make a decision. I need to find where I belong and not where my childhood life was and believe that it can carry on the same forever.

"I have a lot of plans of what I'm going to do and where I'm going to be going so please if you do want to talk to me about it or express your views send me a message or find me on Facebook because we have some really loyal fans and its the least I can do to show my respect and how much your support has meant. I say do this because I cant possibly write as much as I would like to on this because it would end up being pages and pages long. As a short notice to let you know what I'm going to be doing, I am going to be doing a lot of composing for adverts and other similar items and I have a lot of composing style projects coming up. I'm starting to see a light into an industry where I can push myself towards in order to make a living for myself and if I don't take such opportunities and make certain decisions those opportunities could be lost.

"From the people that are big fans of this band to those that have seen us once and bought a CD I just want to say from the bottom of my heart, the biggest thank you and I will hopefully see you at my final couple of shows in January. To Rob, Dave, Matt and Dan. Thank you for the best memories and best times of my life."

Adust also issued the following statement:

"Although the rest of us provided the body of this band, Guy provided the heart. Not only is Guy a fantastic guitarist but he is also a fantastic friend and we are all grateful to have shared three years of his company on and off the stage. Very rarely do you come across someone that possesses such ability mixed with the right attitude, He genuinely is one in a million and it will be a tough task to replace him. Guy, we all want to THANK YOU for playing such a big part in our lives and making what we do worth while, we understand your reasons for leaving and we will all support your decision with whatever you choose to pursue next and we are sure you will make a success of whatever you turn your hand to. WE WILL MISS YOU BRO!!!! Please all wish him well. Guy's last ever show and your chance to see ADUST for the last time with the original line up will be on the 30th January in Birmingham at Madhouse Studios (asylum 2) so please come along and lets make that show one we will all remember."
