Jack Slater Announces Guitarist And Drummer Changes

German metallers Jack Slater have issued the following update about parting ways with their guitarist and drummer:

"With the new year getting started, it's time to present you some line-up changes for 2010. We wouldn't be Jack Slater if we wouldn't mix it up a little now and then, now would we? The mercenary year for Robert, one of our guitarist, is over. He joined Jack Slater a year ago, but he said from the beginning it won't be forever. He works a lot and doesn't have the time to play in Jack Slater and his other two bands, so he helped us out in 2009, and we are very thankful for that. Robert is a really nice guy with a tremendous talent as a guitarist. We are very happy to have played a year with him and he had a great impact on our soon to be released 4th album 'Extinction Aftermath.' In the future he will however join us for some concerts here and there, but not every single one. So he is not gone forever, but will not be present every time you see Jack Slater live on stage. Right now we are not looking for someone to replace him. However, if you feel like you would be a perfect fit, you can apply, maybe you will change our mind on that topic?

"David, our drummer, is moving to Berlin right now to follow his girlfriend over there. You can't challenge love, so there is no point in trying to make him stay, hehe. This young talented drummer will sure mix up the berlin music scene quite a bit, so look out for this charming drum machine. He will play his last two concerts with Jack Slater in Leipzig and on the Winternachtstraum Festival 2010 in February.

"After that, an even younger guy will step in for him: Simon! We already played three gigs with this 19 year old back in 2009 and we now welcome him officially as the new drummer of Jack Slater! I don't know where these young guys take all their talent from these days, but he sure as hell has a lot of it. His first official gig will be in January and after the two gigs in February mentioned before, you will experience his skills behind the drums on every single Jack Slater gig to come. We look forward to that! So there are some changes behind the instruments, but we will continue to deliver finest death metal to you as always, just like the years before. It's just another day at the office!

"Have a nice year 2010 all, take care."
