Vocalist Dani Nolden of Brazilian metallers Shadowside has issued the following statement about recording a music video:

"Hello my fellow rockers and metalheads! It's been a while since I last posted so I figured I'd write a detailed report with pictures telling you all about the video shoot yesterday! I'm sorry, I have no pictures yet though *laughs*. They're coming soon! However I can tell you how it all went!

"We started early at about 10 am (yeah that's freaking early for me! ) so while the crew was setting up the set we took the time to get ourselves "metalized" and took a few new band pictures! We had a lot of fun coming up with weird ideas and exploring the place... it was a very old, very dusty building, with lots of empty rooms that haven't been used in ages but still have some very interesting decoration for a Rock band! One of the rooms even had a very disgusting brown thing dripping from the ceiling... that would have been perfect for a very extreme Splatter Metal band. We didn't use that room though but we still kept things very raw and very Metal as you will be able to check it out by yourselves!

"The video recordings went absolutely great! Apart from some electrical problems at the beginning, it all went smoothly until about 8pm, when we were actually very close to the end. Someone not Metal at all got annoyed with the drum sound and called the police on us. He ended up looking like a dork though because by the time the cops came, we were already done and packing up everything and he wanted to pick a fight but no one gave him attention... not even the cops.

"We were told to headbang and show anger and passion so we did with our hearts in it! It was awesome watching the boys doing their individual shootings cause I don't usually get to see them rocking out on stage. It's always extremely nice to watch them do it from a crowd's perspective! When I was recording with the band and then by myself, I did my best to act out the music's passion and intensity, however this was nothing compared to what the second part will be... This is demanding quite a bit from me on the acting side as I'm not actress and have been only a singer during my whole life but it's a fun experience even representing lyrics about the abuse some people have to go through in their lifetime just for being different. I know many of you felt like that at least once. Whether it was for being Rock and Metal fans or for having a tattoo, long hair, body piercings or simply thinking differently then someone else. Sometimes that abuse can even come from one's own home so Hideaway can be a touchy and saddening topic but I hope it's taken as a warning for those who might have a friend in trouble or are hurting people without even noticing, as well as a friendly 'cheer up' for those who get crap from people since they aren't alone! I leave you for now and I'll have a few pics for you in a few days! Now I gotta scream a bit to keep my voice in good shape See you all soon!"
