We, The Undersigned Issues Final "Off With Their Heads" Road Report

We, The Undersigned have issued the following final tour blog from their "Off With Their Heads" tour:

"November 20th - Langford Legion Auditorium – Victoria, BC. For our 2nd show on the island, we hit up the capital of British Columbia, Victoria, one of the more beautiful places Canada has to offer. Headlining the show is local funk rockers 'Funk Vigilante.' Legion shows are typically fun so we were looking forward to this one.

"The trend of good draws we’ve been having through BC didn’t let up, we got what looked like about 80-100 through the door (thanks to both NS and Funk Vigilante for that). Unfortunately during our set the power to the main PA was cutting out and we lost all mics. This happened 3 times in the set, one time taking 20 minutes to resolve. Luckily it stayed on for the last 4 songs so we ripped them as hard as we could for the ones that stuck around. Oh well, we were about due for some tech issues, it had been a while. Karma, you sly duck!

"Ninja Spy and Funk Vigilante both put on amazing shows after our technical debacle. In FV I was hearing some southern rock vibes mixed with some politically driven lyrics that were vague yet effective. The rain continued to fall in BC. At our final after party (Thanks FV!) we drank wine and pondered our last show tomorrow in Vancouver before we embark on a legendary drive back to Halifax over 4 days. Gulp

"November 21st – Pub 340 - Vancouver. The final stand! And what better way to wrap up a tour than at Vancouver’s sexiest black hole, Pub 340. Seeing people file in 2 hours before the show even started was exciting, but somehow ominous. Ninjoelspy informed me that NS shows at the 340 can get messy, in the 'moshpit-spilled beer' kinda way. He was correct on this night.

"By the time this show got rollin’ there must’ve been 150 people already crammed in and 100 more waiting to get in. Capacity is 200 so there were some music lovers that were unable to attend this evening. Shoulda got yo tix erly bro-dawgs! I’m gonna post the links of all the openings bands because they were all pretty badass in their own special kinda way. Click the links if you want to see who shared this crazy tour-closing show with us.

"What makes tonight specially frightening wasn’t the frantic mosh pits that were literally knocking over pedals and light boxes. No, what made tonight unsettling is that as soon as we’re done loading out, The Quest For Protest Begins!!$#&! We’ve got 4.5 days to get back to Halifax in time to be the first performer of MegaFest, and show featuring tonnes of killer bands, all of which include: Black Moor (Halifax), Children of Eve (St.John’s), Iron Giant (Moncton), and headliners Protest The Hero (Whitby). If anything goes wrong on this drive like mechanical problems or mental meltdown, we’ll miss the gig :S The journey must commence, post-haste!

"So after an amazing show with lots of enthusiasm and acceptance from the crowd we hugged, kissed, groped, etc, our new friends of the west, ninjaspy, and immediately programmed 'Downtown Halifax' into the GPS. Her sexy robotic voice instantly recited back to us 'Distance to Destination – 6574km.' We all had a moment of brooding discomfort as we started the van and began exiting Vancouver.

"I know I’ve said a lot of nice things about ninjaspy in this blog, but it is not without merit! This is a great band comprised of super wholesome people (except for the McDicks love, wassup wit dat?) and I want everyone in the east to be aware of this! Thanks for the great western tour boys, can’t wait till the next one. Peace + Love! And to find out if we made it back to Halifax in time for the show, please follow our Twitter page as it is being updated from Jai’s phone at every gas station and side-of-the-road rest stop.

"November 26th – Cunard Center – Halifax, NS. We made it! I won’t bother pouring over the details of the trip because it was long and arduous. Drive, sleep, eat, drive, sleep, eat, drive, have nightmares about northern ontario, fart, laugh, drive, eat.... etc ETC ETC. Check the twitter for more deets. Whoever didn’t pickup a half price ticket for this one should be kicking themselves cause this show rocked furiously! Every band brought their best and the kids loved it. Highlights include Black Moor giving an “Evil Block of Wood” as a fan prize (Block Moor, lol’s), PJ of Iron Giant lighting his bass on fire, Children of Eve sounding monumental, and Protest The Hero letting us all know that they’re only getting better with age. They played their album Fortress from front to back, and closed with a couple older numbers. Amazing sets all around!

"And this wraps up the We, The Undersigned 'Off With Their Heads' Tour 2009 BLOG. Thanks to everyone that stayed on board throughout, it means a lot to us :) Video Blogs will be available through our MySpace page very soon! Bye Bye Bye!"
