Germany's Primal Fear have issued the following recap of their "Viva La Swabia" tour:

"We're back home and the ‘Viva La Swabia’ tour and after some day of rest, we just want to say THANK YOU to our fans for an exciting year and some unforgettable moments. The feedback on our new album ‘16.6 –Before The Devil Knows You’re Dead’ was a great positive surprise and the second highest chart entry in Germany (#46) for Primal Fear. Other cool chart information from Sweden and Japan followed.

"We started our ‘16.6’ tour in Moscow this year and after some festivals, we returned to South America with special guests „Sinner’. Our guitarist Magnus became father of twins and again (like in 1999 and 2007) Alex Beyrodt was the man fort he job. The adventure started..... and the question was: how can you survive 8 days without sleep - the shows in Mexico, Colombia, Argentina and Brazil were fantastic and even we came home exhausted & jetlagged, everyone was satisfied. After some days of rest, we started our first little headlining tour through North America. We expected just a new start of our activities there, but most of the shows were a blast, especially Los Angeles, Atlanta, New York & Montreal.

"The 'Viva La Swabia’ tour started in September with two shows in the UK & one in Belgium. The feedback was cool and a great start for the following 25 days in October & November. Some days later the second start in Spain was really promising, especially Madrid, followed by highlights in Pratteln (Ch), Kopenhagen (Dk), Hamburg, Bochum, Ludwigsburg and a lot of more exciting shows. The feedback in the Czech Rep was overwhelming!

"Thanks to all our fans for such a fantastic following and feedback and thanks to ITM, our crew and Brainstorm, for a creative, rocking peaceful time, mayhem & madness! Thanks to our sponsors for helping to make this tour such a success! This tour was one of the best we’ve ever done! We’re working on more shows in Europe for March & April 2010, another tour in North America for May & June and we’re already in negotiations with some of the biggest Open Air festivals in 2010. We’re already started to work on some documents of this great tour – the first project is a new Live CD (Live In The USA) and our long awaited second DVD (16.6 All Over The World)"
