The Infinite Staircase Issues Live Shows And Song Writing Update
New Jersey hard rockers The Infinite Staircase have issued the following announcement about upcoming shows and writing new material:
"So it's been a while since we've given any kind of 'big' ongoing update (and I know, most of you are probably happy about that) - well, let's see what we got going here... First of all, the Holidays are upon us and we wish a happy, healthy, merry and metal season to one and all. To Help Celebrate the Holidays The Infinite Staircase will be doing several things...
"1) We will be donating several hundred copies of our debut album The Road Less Taken to organizations who bring needed items to the Troops serving overseas for the Holidays; among many items listed, music is one of them and we hope that our little bit of effort will help some brave soldier in some way and help show our appreciation for what they are doing for us and our great country. We strongly urge everyone, no matter what your view on the war may be, please do what you can to help make these brave men and women feel your love this Holiday Season.
"2) We will be celebrating Thanksgiving Early with our (BELATED) CD RELEASE PARTY THIS WEDNESDAY - THANKSGIVING EVE at L'AMOUR (Located at 2354 Arthur Kill Road - Staten Island, New York)
"The Doors will Open Especially Early Wednesday Evening (8:00 P.M.) for a Pre-Show Party Upstairs where our good friend and hysterical Comedian GLEN WIEN will be sure to split your sides with his Judgemental, Satirical, Extremely NON-PC Views and Observations on Life & Society as We Know It. We will then take the stage around 9:00 P.M.! Admission is ONLY $10 and the rest of the night is rounded out by the area's finest Tribute Bands for Ozzy/Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, and Alice In Chains! Unfortunately, anyone who read prior posts on Twitter, Myspace, or Facebook - we will no longer be shooting a Music Video Wednesday Night.
"3) After the craziness of our First CD RELEASE PARTY, Thanksgiving and Black Friday (where hopefully many of you will be purchasing your loved ones very fine CDs and Merchandise of yours truly for the Holidays ;) ) wear off, THIS SATURDAY AT THE DUGOUT on 1614 Forest Avenue - Staten Island, New York - We will be performing as part of a Special Benefit Fundraiser for AUTISM; more specifically a Rock For A Difference Event where the Proceeds will be donated to POAC - Parents of Autistic Children. Once again, Admission is a $10 Donation for a VERY worthwhile Cause! We will be performing a Very Special Set. The Doors Open at 6:00 P.M., with Craving Strange Performing around 7:00 P.M. and The Infinite Staircase and The Spines rounding out the evening.
"Now, aside from all of these going ons, you may have also noticed that we are no longer remaining silent about the situation surrounding the departure of one Paris Bierk immediately following the Black Label Bash Tour. I will not get into it here, but for a taste of the truth please check out our other recent blogs as well as our EBAY AUCTION. Our good friend and Great Drummer RALPH SAVERCOOL from fellow New York/New Jersey based bands ROOM 237 and WHOLE IN ONE will be our backbone for these upcoming shows and we can't thank him and his very patient and understanding bands enough! (Jim, I'm sorry that tomorrow night got all screwed up. You know I love ya bro! You can have him back Saturday Night lol)
"Other than all of that, the band has been working on lots of new songs which we will be recording some time in the New Year and hopefully we will have lots more to look forward to in 2010. Thank you so much to everyone new and old, for standing by us. We appreciate it very much and we hope to see as many of you as we can in the near future!"
