Very sad news much condolences to The BISCRUIT's Family (oddly strange name yet "cool" smile): rest in sweet peace Chuck Biscruit/Drummer of DANZIG glory fame. Great Classic photo shot of them above and the music monster Doom Metal. Much respects & Peace in this time of sorrow of a love one.

InfernoNecrosis: It's great to see that you are eager to hear some critics over here, nice.
Listen guys, MU is one of the best metal info site on web and personally my favorite. But this time you screwed. Why can't you guys admit it? Just say you sorry coz you've got some wrong info and carry on.
Now, about the "necrologs"(you didn't pick that irony didn't you?). I'm just sayin that I always considered this site as main info about METAL MUSIC, so I always thought that on the main news there should be news about latest releases, studio recordings, gigs etc. Situation when on the main news there are one by one three news about somebodys deaths(yep, it happened) it's just ridiculous. I mean all that people were worth some rememberance but why all of them in the main news part?
Just consider it ok? That's all I ask. And it's not just my opinion, many people around here visit your site everyday and they have a simillar opinion which is: you guys are great, but you still can do it better.
Regards
J.
Thanks for the input, J.
Personally, I like the fact that this site gives us info about what's happening with the musicians as well as the music. And as for admitting the news article about his death was incorrect, I think it is more professional - rather than to simply remove the article and pretend it never happened - to update and amend with the relevent truths when they become apparent and available. That way everyone who is interested gets the whole of the story, and not just certain parts that could be misleading on their own.
withorwithoutyou, with all due respect, if you'd read the article on Brooklyn Vegan, you'd have all the background on how and why this story circulated. The story went up on dozens of blogs and sites. The source seemed reliable, and he's the one who got duped in the first place. It's not like we can call the guy's wife and say "is he really dead" or ask for a death certificate as proof. It was not just a case of a reader sending in a "tip" and us posting it as news or gospel, so I'm not really feeling bad about this at all. We followed up by updating the article here and posting a correction as well. Sure, it was a mistake, but there was really not much of a chance of us avoiding this one since the story hit many of the major news outlets.
Sorry for getting back about this late.
Hey withorwithoutyou:
Yes, MU can handle criticism. I just happened to make a funny out of what you said. I realize that you personally do not agree with out "morbid fascination" (as you call it), but the headline news on MU highlights what is believed to be important. And what's important to one person may be different to the next on some level, but a bunch of metalheads happened to die recently and I'm sure that their fans would like to know who died and how. If you have any suggestions as to what's as important as band members of metal bands dying that would just be huge news, then feel free to bring it up.
I poured my heart out in grief "sorrow" thinking someone special passed on and he didn't: shame, shame on the mislead infor... "In all seriousness/jerking aside (Sorry couldn't resist)..'I did comment earlier in regards to this Post Topic/Mr. CHUCK BISCRUIT legendary Drummer of DANZIG had passed away/lung cancer but soon there after found out his very much "Alive & kicking and doing well"...'thank God for that! Who ever started such an out of this world prank needs to be talked to for causing much confusing heartaches and misleading info: shame on them. But in any event I'm happy that a very "special" Musician/Drummer Chuck BISCRUIT is still around & quite alright. Take care & Rock N Roll onward!
