Swedish metallers Hypocrisy have enlisted Children of Bodom guitarist/frontman Alexi Laiho for their upcoming North American tour. Alexi has agreed to temporarily fill the currently vacant guitarist spot on their tour alongside Ensiferum, Hypocrisy, Ex Deo, Blackguard, and Swashbuckle

Hypocrisy mainman Peter Tagtgren commented: “We’re very happy to bring Alexi along on this tour and that he’s helping us out with filling the 2nd guitarist position. Funny, the first Children of Bodom show was a support gig for Hypocrisy. Since then me and Alexi have become very good friends. I’ve helped him with producing and he's helped me by contributing a guitar solo on one of my records with my other band Pain. There will be no shortage of alcohol on this tour that’s for sure.”

On a good note a lot of Hot Topic Bodom listeners are going to be introduced to one of my favorite bands.
Hypocrisy is criminally underrated here in the US.

Hammerheart- Hell yeah, right on! I hope I can make this tour, but it is in my area on a Tuesday. There was a band you mentioned in one of your recent posts in one of the forums that I really like that not many people are into but I can't recall which band it was....

I can hardly find anything Hypocrisy up here.

The Rickshaw is on 254 East Hastings and Main St.

Pretty wicked Cthonic, Toxic Holocaust, Bleeding Through and Satyricon are played there last night.

@RTB Well hypocrisy is one of the very first death metal bands, who started in around 1990 or earlier. their first record came in 1992. Peter Tetgren is also the lead vocalist of his side project PAIN. Songs of Hypocrisy you should listen to: "Roswel 47" and "Erased" are by far the most known songs of the band. Also cool songs "Stillborn" "The fourth Dimension" and many more...listen to them and find out for yourself

greetings from ausria

Bruno: Are you talking about Gorguts? Fantastic band, and Luc LeMay recently resurrected the band as well. Don't know if they'll record any new material, though.
