No video game track list is ever going to make everyone happy, as there are too many sub-genres that people love to appeal to the entire metal fan spectrum. That being said, this is a pretty awesome compilation of hard rock and metal songs to be appearing in a game. I'm liking the trends lately. There's a bunch of black metal tracks in the PSP game "Undead Knights," Opeth has got a track appearing in that new Saints Row video game, we've got the Dethklok game coming up, and now all these in Brutal Legend. Metal for the people!!

Well I am certainly surprised by some of the tracks they dug up for this game..Sure, could use more sub genre stuff maybe less hair type metal..but eh what you gonna do.

I never said that the set list was bad. I was just kida suprised that there is not much for Death metal. They got good black metal, thrash, power, classic. Bands that I thought would never even get in to a game are on here. Coroner for ex. Im just suprised there is not much for death metal. Its cool that carcass are in there but where are the bands like atheist, cannibal corpse, death, possesed, obituary ect. Im still going to pick up the game no matter what. jack black is a plus.

there are a few surprising in there, like Crimson Glory, Slough Feg and Angel Witch. I never thought in a million years those bands would be in any game soundtrack. Good variety to this list, just not enough Death metal if you ask me, and too many hair metal bands. I know hair metal is apart of the equation, but they should have put a few more sub genres in there.
