Brazilian metallers Shadowside have issued the following final tour report from their recent U.S. tour dates:

"All right, my Babies in the Dark... Here comes the last chapter of the Wake Up Screaming 2009 US Tour! This sounds so drastic... *laughs* Worry not, our dear fans and friends - what is shaping up to be the longest tour in our career so far is in the works for 2010 and should go through several countries, as well as lots of American states.

"I leave you all with the report of our last day of the tour... have fun, stay tuned for the pics and I will see you all again after our first show back home... October 31. We will touch base with you all with a very special surprise! In the meantime, we will keep you updated of how the video shoot is going. Enjoy!

"September 20 - on the road to Pittsburgh, PA. This trip was absolute hell, I tell ya... HELL! We figured we would get to Pittsburgh at about 11, noon at the latest but once again we were extremely tired and there was no way we would make the drive with only one or two stops. We did have a driver with us so the band could try and get some rest but even he was feeling the effects of such a hard week. We got to Pittsburgh not too long before we had to leave for load-in and sound check so it's quite safe to say none of us got more than 2 hours of sleep. Even that didn't keep us from being super excited though. It would be our first time playing at a Hard Rock Cafe and we knew our Pittsburgh fan base would be there screaming their longs out! As soon as we stepped into the venue, we were greeted by some fans that were already waiting for us and the general atmosphere of the place just SCREAMS Rock n' Roll. Incredible venue with amazing people = memorable night!

"We opened up the show with Nation Hollow Mind and I wouldn't even have to sing - the fans sang for me the entire set! If I had forgotten any part of the lyrics, it would have been easy to get back on track since I could hear them very well *laughs* Being tired and sore all over didn't take ANYTHING away from this gig! We all made sure we would give all the energy we had, no matter what. We would have plenty of time to rest later so we fed from the crowd's energy and they gave it back to us by being loud and showing their horns!

"A very special tour needed a special ending and it sure was! We had a great time at every single one of the shows, met some incredible people with great stories to tell, fans that were simply on fire and they always make us want to fly even higher. Going home is always good in a way but we already miss being on the road. It's our life and we are anxious for more!

"We have a lot of people to thank... first and foremost, our manager Sweet Lou and his wife Sue - they are one of a kind indeed! - Nick IX for being such a cool guy and for saving this tour - it was awesome playing with you and we will definitely repeat that - Tim and Kim, Dave, Jeremy + family, Travis + family, Rob Mason, Betrayed with a Kiss, Presomnia, Lauren Kelly and everyone else who has helped us in any way. Last but never least... the FANS! You are the reason that this all is happening. THANK YOU!"
