Novembers Doom Endure Line Up Changes
Chicago doomsters Novembers Doom have come forward that guitarist Eric Burnley is no longer a part of the group. Apparently, Burnley relocated to St. Louis and is unable to work with the band.
In a band issued press release: "The distance between the band, and Eric would make things difficult to continue as a group, as trying to remain a solid band, write new material, and perform to the best of our abilities. His departure will be missed by all of us."
Burnley is, however, immediately replaced by Vito Marchese, a newcomer to the Chicago metal scene. "We knew on the first day, he had the potential to be just the person we were looking for," said Novembers Doom. "After the second audition, we were sure of it. Vito has worked harder then anyone we've seen in this band, and in only one month, he was ready to play his first show in Brooklyn, NY."
In a similar line-up move, the band has finally filled the vacant bassist position after Mary Bielich moved to Pittsburgh. Novembers Doom hired on Disinter bassist Mike LeGros as a session member, but have since promoted him to a full-time member. "Mike has performed with the band numerous times, and always fit with the group musically, and personally."
Meanwhile, the new line-up is already busy working on new material for the follow-up to last year's excellent To Welcome the Fade opus.
"The new line-up brings fire back into the mix, and the aggression, and passion for what we do will be seen throughout the new material. Confidently, this will be our best, and heaviest material yet, while maintaining the "Novembers Doom" sound you've come to expect from us."
