I hung out with Starr many times back in the day... nice enough guy who liked to party... just like everyone else in the late 80's/ early 90's Seattle music scene. It's a drag to see that he still can't get his sh** together 20 years later! His drug use got him ousted from AIC in '93 & it's got him sitting in jail today. His drug of choice when I knew him was usually cocaine (he always hung out & paled around with the dealer)... but from what I understand, he quickly got started on smack as the band began making money & then things really spiraled out of control! To his defense, however, he doesn't have much of a role model in his father who is a heroin addict in the Seattle/Renton area to this day. Oh well... guess he's old enough to know better now at the ripe old age of 43.
