Hypocrisy to Begin Work on New Album
Long-running Swedish metal act Hypocrisy, led by acclaimed producer/Pain frontman Peter TÃĪgtgren, have set "The Arrival" as the title for their next studio album, tentatively due at the end of the year through Nuclear Blast Records.
"[We had a] band meeting today, it went well and we have a plan for the next release," Peter wrote on the band's official web site Monday (April 7). "We're going to get together and practice for the recording for the first time in 9 years! Starting mid-may, so everybody will start writing new material a.s.a.p. so we will have [something] to practice... The new album will go with the 'Abducted' [1996] sound (production), [while] the music will go in the sign of 'Abducted' and the 'Hypocrisy' (self-titled album, 1999)."
Hypocrisy's last album, "Catch-22", was released in 2002.
