I'm not a Korn fan by no means (though I think "Issues" sounds awesome, thanks to Mr. Brendan O'Brien)...
I watched it cos having been in various bands, AND, gotta say, all that makes sense to me.
Head left (whether or not he really had asked to come back is another matter), so, he made his decision, and the band wants to continue without him for now. Nothing odd about that.
As far as David, he always came across as the most down-to-earth guy of the band (Ok I considered David as the only member in Korn who had brains). The man's about 37-38yrs old and has got a family.
Come on, about 15years in the band with these loose cannons?? Like one of their songs goes, "I did my time". The same goes for Head as well

As for as Head goes, there's nothing wrong with finding religion or something to believe in, it's good that he found something to motivate him be a better father. However, he seems like the kind of Christian that worries me. This man honestly believes that G-d chose him to convert 50 Cent and "save" him from his ways. He thinks that building churches in India are alot more important than sending over food and building homes. He doesn't seem all there.

I'll finish this by saying what I always say, if you have a religion or beliefs, that's fine, but follow what should be the 11th commandment: Thou Shalt Keep Thine Religion To Thine Self!

Men will always label something they don't understand a God and worship it, leading to crazy-a$$ ideas and usually organized religion. In our class they'll say "Its alright to be an atheist, we're not trying to shove views down your throat" and then they'll go on to say about how God really does exist and how science is wrong. Its sh1t like that, that gets people p***ed off, its only the douchebags that worship it.

Jesus is my Lord and Savior and the thing that truly pisses me off more than anything is man made religions twisting what he is all about. catholicism is prob the most Satanic religion of all of them out there. they completely destroy what Jesus taught in the Bible (they only read a few books to suit the control over the masses so they can rule) and teach the opposite of of what he is about, either driving people away from him or fearing him and never getting to have a releationship. Head was not right preaching that much in a concert. Blindgreed1 is right in what he says about mislabeling to force his believes on people, that is totaly wrong. n0thinghead i understand where you are coming from and hope some day you find a relationship with God that is not based on religion. Now that i "know" the truth i know i can be myself and listen to the music i want and still have a relationship with the Lord because he likes me for who i am and created me to be myself. nothing makes him happier than me being true to myself and finding happiness with that. it is all about relationshop not religion and def not worship. fvcking man made religions are black evil substances than people created to control masses and rob us blind. I have stated this before, but it seems pertinent to the conversation. What religion a person chooses is their business. To me, what religion you choose is about as important as knowing what your favorite color is. I don't care. Just keep it to yourself and don't shove it down anyone's throat and we're good. When Head started spouting off about Jesus, I gave him a chance hoping that it would end there. Many people were upset by it because he kept clamoring on. I just left and got drunk at home. Put in some Pantera and called it a wash. No big deal.

i apalogize i realized that was an ignorant statement after i posted. there is a big population in the world that does live and die by their religious beliefs. even in history catholics slaughtered christians. but the religous war is still waging in the middle east even ireland, among others. i was trying to point out when people take it that seriously we should take into acount what ones beliefs are to protect ourselves but in a country like america where it is so insigniificant (which it should actualy be) it is hard to get people to understand how others beliefs can affect us all. many of these born again christians like head i feel are either ego driven or trying to get others to convert to empower their own beliefs. eventualy they fall out of theri walk and shows their transparency. others actualy do feel real love and are trying to share it but i dont feel that is the case with head. it is pretty arrogant of him to feel his has been chosen to convert rappers and anyone specific. you know what, it is not our job to convert anyone tyo christ , that is his job, we are here to help mankind in general and those in need that come across our path. through showing love we can turn heads toward god not by preaching, that turns heads away. i get hostility by the religous nuts because i blare metal and wear concert shirts all day yet i am more christian than almost any of them (i hate that label and do not claim it, i am a free believer) and the ni get hostlilty from metal heads because i beleive in Jesus and not some dark force. i have never talked about this topic online before and it sort of makes me look like a religous nut i guess. i assure i am far from it. i do not go to church or care for preachers. metal is my blood and i get p***ed off when people tell me i cannot have both. i am me, i a mtrue to myself and everyone else can kiss my metal loving ass!!

thanks man i was just thinking i will i like this site. and for the record i am never offended by people who do not believe in god (i do not like god haters though but thats on them and not up to me to convince them otherwise) but these religouse people that claim to be of Christ and then try to say we must live or act a certain way do offend me and i respond to them though that offense. even people in the general public ask how can i be a believer and have the slipknot emblem tattooed over my leg and blast lamb of god at work. i tell tham God created me to be me an individual and my passion is both metal and reaching out to peole in need if it was wrong to do both it would not be the core of who i am. not to mention most people just think all metal is evil and dont understand, well same goes for understanding God, very few do. now i have to get back to work and enjoying lamb of god .

I'm not going to lie. I was not born listening to Suffocation, Dying Fetus, or any brutal underground music of that nature. I was brought up slowly. I am what you'd call a late bloomer. So make fun if you will, but I still think its a shame that David just gave up playing so suddenly.

As far as Head leaving and wanting to come back, I dont blame Munky at all for his answer.

Munky's analogy was perfect. Bands are infact like a marriage.

I'm not a fan of newer Korn by any means, but you can really look at this from both sides of the coin:

On one hand, of course Korn was better with Head, by most people's opinions.

On the other hand, Welch f***ed up and left. It showed that he wasn't dedicated to the band anymore, and he wanted to do his own thing without any of them. You can see why they wouldn't want him back after all that.

As for David, who cares? He wasn't a very talented drummer anyway. Sure, it's the "original line-up" factor, but sometimes things that are broken need to be fixed.

In reply to "Jackrum" - Yes there are people that give 2 s**ts. And obviously you do, since you replied to this topic.

And to all the haters - Why even bother commenting on this when it's clear you don't like the band? If I hated a band I wouldn't waste my time even reading anything to do with them. But you are all so ignorant and childish that you jump at the chance to write your little whines and moans about why Korn is lame etc.

Grow up! And Shut Up!

On the whole David issue. Been listening to Korn since I was in third grade. Favorite band, always will be, but honestly...kinda like Ray as the drummer lol. Love how anytime Head is brought in religion fights explode. IF he came back to the band it would probably self-destruct. I'm just happy they're still making music and from small clips I have heard this album may just shut a lot of people up, but there will always be nay-sayers.
