Brazil's Shadowside has issued the following road report:

"Alright, my Babies in the Dark... hope you are all doing well tonight!

"After the past two shows in Illinois, we couldn't be more excited about this tour and both appearances tomorrow! First of all, let me walk you through our experiences in the past few days. They were very entertaining, fun and for me, challenging as well, since I had to sing both shows with a sore throat. I never even CONSIDERED cancelling any of the shows because I know how damn frustrating it is when a band I'm looking forward to see has to cancel and we had people messaging us saying they were as thrilled as we were to be coming to those cities that we've never been before. Since my voice wasn't sounding any different, I just went for it and I'm glad I did!

"Sep 11 - Crescent City, IL I was expecting to find something like the Chicago area since I was told it wasn't too far from there but when we got to the city, we found out it's a very charming and small town. It reminds me of my grandmother's home town which I was always very fond of. I had the impression that it's the kind of place where everyone knows one another in a very tight community. I'm not sure that's the case since we didn't have much time to hang out but it sure felt like it!

"We played at a place called Black Horse Saloon, with a great atmosphere and VERY friendly people! That show was booked at the very last minute but even so, everything went extremely well and we had a blast that night. It was awesome to see a whole team going to the show (not sure what kind of team though... sorry!) and they sure knew how to headbang! We wish we could have stayed longer to hang out. We had a few drinks with some fans and headed back to the hotel to get about 4 hours of sleep and hit the road... next stop, Urbana, IL!

"Sep 12 - Urbana, IL NOW we were expecting a small city and we found exactly the opposite *laughs* There were LOTS of people in the streets dressed in orange... can anyone tell me what that was? We assumed it was a match of some sorts that was going to happen, or a competition. The boys sure had fun looking at the amount of girls walking around. Me... I'm glad to be single... I can look all I want and no one will bitch about it *laughs*

"We arrived at the venue around 2 or 3, set up and headed back to the hotel to get some sleep but we didn't have much time for that... we were too hyper to close our eyes and just relax so we just dropped our stuff and went back to the venue. Since this was an all-ages show, we found a different type of crowd that we usually play to here in the U.S. and it was very fun, those kids threw some seriously cool Metal Horns! They would get like 4 pairs of hands together in one big pair of horns and headbang together. The mosh pit also got insane, hell they rocked HARD! They were very young of age, like 15, 16 years old, but they surely were grown ups when it comes to how Metal they were. They were going nuts and wouldn't stop - they would sing along with me and then 'solo' with air guitar quick fingers to Rapha's leads. And guess what - yes, we have pictures of that! Stay tuned... we will post them soon! We would like to thank everyone at the Black Horse Saloon for putting together that show at such short notice, Jeremy from Mancini Records for his hospitality and all the nice people and bands we've played with at these shows. Last but NEVER least... the fans - you ALWAYS rock!

"Sep 15 - on our way to Chicago! Right now, I'm here settled in my hotel room and I can hear Rapha and Nicky jamming on the acoustic guitars. Tomorrow we will be playing at Hot Topic in Bloomingdale, IL. It will be the last of our accoustic performances on this tour and first one with Nick IX on the acoustic guitars with us! People have been emailing us and we were told they are also calling the store for more information. We are scheduled to play a 45 minutes set starting at 6pm. If you are going, make sure you call the store or drop us a line to add your name to the list! YES, you are allowed to take pictures and film. And sing along as well *laughs*

"We are looking forward to that and also to the show at Chicago City Limits in Schaumburg, IL "in the night". We've been told the place is going to be packed. Lots of people won't be seeing us for the first time but I know there are a lot of 'Shadowside virgins' that didn't make it the last time we were in Chicago but are going tomorrow. Get ready for a wild Metal party tomorrow. I better read lots of messages on Sep 16, when we will be on our way to Ottumwa, Iowa (first time in that State! We can't wait!) that you all have sore necks *laughs* Off to bed now... that is, if I can sleep. I'm energized and it keeps me awake. I'll hello back soon!"

Shadowside's remaining tour dates are as follows:

9/15 Chicago City Limits Schaumburg, IL - USA
9/16 Plum Crazy Ottumwa, IA - USA
9/18 Birdy’s Indianapolis, IN
