Stryper Gears Up For North American Tour Dates
Christian rockers Stryper have issued the following statement about gearing up for their upcoming tour dates:
"Rehearsals are going extremely well. The guys are sounding incredible and really enjoying themselves. Spirits are high. Laughter, smiles, practical jokes, and of course intense hard-work and long days of practice fill the air as the band gears up to kick-off their 25th Anniversary world tour this Friday, September 11 at 'House of Blues' in Boston.
"Tuesday was spent running through the set several times and tweaking the new in-ear monitor system they'll be using on this tour. Also this week, the final yellow and black outfits arrived via FedEx. That was an exciting moment - like unwrapping a present on Christmas morning. Everyone is thrilled with the job Ray Brown did with the outfits (Ray Brown was the original outfit designer from the 80's).
The band also took a brief break from rehearsals to meet with One Verse, the ministry in which we are partnering with during this tour. Tom Scholz and Gary Pihl from BOSTON stopped by yesterday and briefly ran through 'Peace of Mind'. They'll be sitting in with the band on September 11 in Boston. If you live anywhere in the Boston area, or even if you don't, this is a show worth catching. It will be a historic night.
"Breaks during rehearsals are few and far between. It gets hot and tiresome, but as seen in the picture (see the link below), the band did take a brief moment for a TV break in the lobby of their rehearsal studios. (I believe Nickelodeon was on). From the front lines I can tell you, fans are going to be very happy with the set the band is delivering. They look and sound amazing. They're playing the hits, and they've even got some surprises up their sleeve as well. Please keep them all in your prayers in the upcoming days and weeks.
