NonExist Near Completion of new album

Sweden's NonExist, featuring members of Andromeda and Hearse, are nearing completion on their second full-length record.

"The new songs are slower, heavier and a bit more melodic," says guitarist Johan Reinholdz in a recent conversion with DigitalMetal. "Still brutal though I'm really pleased with the material and we'll start recording sometime this year."

Continues Reinholdz: "The material is more mid-paced generally, some fast songs though. There were some keyboards on Deus Deceptor, but on the new one there's gonna be more, both chords and melodies. Another differance is that there are less odd-time signature grooves."

Although Reinholdz explains that the lyrics and album title are yet to be determined, NonExist will enter the guitarist's personal studio (Multipass Studios) where he recorded sections of Andromeda's newest album, II=I, in Höör, Sweden. The sixstringer also points out the current Defleshed/Dark Funeral drummer Matte Modin will not be a part of the line-up, and that NonExist are currently looking for a suitable drummer for the album.

NonExist hope to have their as-yet-untitled second album out sometime this year on New Hawen Records. Reinholdz, however, can't confirm if the album will indeed appear on the label. More on NonExist soon. Stay tuned.
