The Rockstar Ramblings: Restraining Orders and M&M

Both Slash (Guns N Roses/Velvet Revolver) and Steven Adler (Guns N Roses/Adler’s Appetite) have filed restraining orders against the same woman. Adler claims a woman he met in rehab is stalking him. She is also trying to contact Adler through Slash. One thing we know for sure, she definitely has a type. KISS has announced a special promotion with M&Ms. Expected to be available in October, there is no word whether Gene Simmons will be sending over any of the brown candies to Eddie Van Halen’s dressing room…
Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal (Guns N Roses) will be participating in a roast for professional wrestler William “Brimstone” Kucmlerowski. In related news, all is quiet on the GNR summer tour front. Anvil is now the opening act for AC/DC. Here’s my one great Summer idea: Jani Lane (Warrant) should take a cue from Anvil and create a documentary based on his upcoming prison stay for his convicted DUI (working title “Heaven Isn’t Too Far Away”). Tommy Lee (Motley Crue/Methods of Mayhem) has secured distribution for his second MOM record. Artists participating will include Kid Rock, Ozzy Osbourne, and Snoop (formerly Snoop Dogg). Nice to see Lee doing his part to keep the economy moving by keeping Snoop employed. In this week’s HEY, THAT’S NOT WHAT WE MEANT news, Michael Sweet (Stryper) took the recent comments by fans: “More Solos,” “More Screams,” and “More Guitars” to mean more music…
Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots/Velvet Revolver) continues his sobriety stating he has learned that “Happiness is the journey, not the destination.” Meanwhile STP has recorded eighteen new songs, twelve to be part of their new album. Raise those virgin Mary’s and O’Douls beers in hopes the new STP is more along the lines of CORE, PURPLE, and TINY SONGS…rather than IV and SHANGRI-LA…
Finally in this week’s YEAH RIGHT update, Brian Johnson (AC/DC) finally commented on the “pissing on Sputnik” incident of 1991 in Moscow saying, “I had to take a piss, I didn’t know what it was, I just thought it was a big black ball.”
