... High five me everybody!
On-topic: Can't wait for the new album, as long as it actually sounds the way they promise it will. Also, that riff in the background was neat.
Loved me some Korn but the last 2 albums have about 5 good songs total and 2 of them were on the b-side of "See you on the other side". The last album was just awful and afterwards said I would not buy another album until I heard it. No flaming here, seen Korn at least 7 times and own all of the albums... HOPE the new one is back to being heavy, last 2 have been a bunch of crap like Manson puts on his album, filler noise.
korn went down the drain for me rite after the untouchables album =\ i rlly hope they DO get back on the ball. they just haven't been the same w/o head man, and then munky left and recently david, sh!t it's just one band member after another lol does anyone know if fieldy's still there? =P
#11: Munky didn't leave. The only time he's left if I recall was for family reasons in the middle of a tour or something, but he didn't leave the band, just the tour. Fieldy's still there too.
There's been some talk about Head rejoining, he's even working on a song with them for Chi of the deftones. I'm pretty sure David's gone for good, he's even ebayed his drumkits :| But at least Ray Luzier is kicking ass.
head should come back kuz korn's been svcking some major d!ck for quite some time w/o him. that's good that the 2nd rated munky is still there and the only bassist that does nothing good but slap (fieldy) is also still there too. i just hope something good comes from them and soon.
ray luzier is the full time drummer now, munky has a side project with his record label emotional syphon records, but is still with korn. fieldy is also in a side project but is still with the band. i dont care if head comes back. i think its just coincidence thee albums fell off atfer he left, cause he was never that amazing anyhow, i mean his presnce is definately missing but munky is a much better guitarist anyhow.
i guess its debateable, but im sure ive read that munky is the 1 who taught head most of what he knows. also was munky not lead guitar? im no guitarist, but the lead guitarist is normally the better of the 2 no? i do love those eery creepy vibes u speak of though and if head is the 1 who came up with all those props to him!
so after some extensive reading, ive found out that u were absolutely right BTCP! head apparently sold munky his 1st electric guitar, and continued being his musical mentor for their entire carreer so far. so all in all, thanks for correcting me, it made me look it up and now ive learned something new for today :)
Actually, Fieldy and Munky wrote most of the korn songs. Head and Munk would bounce things off of each other, but the main writers were and still are the people in the band. They felt they needed a little change after head and david, but now it seems like they are starting to feel like themselves again. At least that song in the background showed it.
Am I the only one that notices an Issues/Untouchables style there? The fretting, the guitar work? The distortion, the dark ass, carnival vibe? And Blindgreed.... The biggest machine in KoRn is JD, remember the Who Then Now/Deuce/Untitled dvds AND this years interviews.... he's always wrote every part of every song, Head was just able to not let JD take certain melodies, the past albums were only there worst two because JD stopped writing everything, in who then now he said "I'll f***in write a riff, and munk and head will rip it up, then david and fieldy adds to it" But now, Ross, JD, and Ray are taking charge, Jd's writing all the lyrics, while, the musicians are guided by his feedback and Ross and Ray. Google bro, lol....
To Blind,
A.) The fieldy and munky writing the songs...it's in an interview (recent) with Munky and B.) He also said with the past two albums they wanted to experiment. The ONLY reason Head's cd sounds like old korn is because he wanted to "draw" people in. If he did any other sound no one would have bought it. By the way if Munky was bsing in this interview I'm pretty sure Head would have or will speak up about that.
Oooooo cause I'm supposed to believe all of your non-credited info right? Lol go to kornunderground.nl if you don't believe in this interview. At least I have solid proof of him saying it than you just spouting your "my brother's in korn camp" nonsense. Facts are facts.
Damn jons gettin fat....fahq...saw there download performance, and hes got this huge ol gut.....damn...fieldy looks like he lost weight, their performance seemed average, although i like the new drummer, hoping their new stuff is better than their last 3 lps, which were not very good...as far as the heart of korn, idk if you can pinpoint it to 1 guy, to me i say jon, their early stuff jon put so much emotion in those songs and lyrics which alot were from real life experiences....1 of my favorite bands of all time, alot of their lyrics especially the first 5 lps i can relate to my own past as well...wanna see them back making good music, and they dont need brian to do so, but i give him all the props in the world for following his faith and raising his kids
