The Psyke Project Posts New Song Onloine

Hailing from the city of Copenhagen, THE PSYKE PROJECT is best-known for bringing an intense, yet chaotic sound that is based on heavy riffs and despairing passages within an epic framework.

Following last year's “Apnea,” LIFEFORCE RECORDS is releasing the band's fourth album, “Dead Storm,” which has been produced by Frederik Nordström and Henrik Udd in famous Fredman Studios in Gothenburg, Sweden.

“Dead Storm” is a rendition of Scandinavian nature and narratives of the world that THE PSYKE PROJECT belong to. The album is a sound scape influenced by the frailty and authenticity of traditional Nordic music and at the same time there’s a presence of pristine landscapes throughout the songs.

The honesty of Nordic narratives - be it nature, myths or music - has made an deep impact on how THE PSYKE PROJECT wanted to record the album and the emotions that should be conveyed through “Dead Storm.”

It has been paramount to the band that all studio recordings were done live and within a short time span in order to stay honest to the song writing and to convey a sense of authenticity and unpredictability on the album.

You can now listen to the brand new song, “Stockholm Bloodbath” on the band's relaunched MySpace page.

“Dead Storm” will reach stores on August 24th in Europe and September 1st in North America.
