As previously reported, Arch Enemy will be one of the bands performing at the Loud Park Festival in Tokyo, Japan this October. Speaking on the festival, guitarist Michael Ammot stated: "We're honored that Arch Enemy can once again be a part of Japan's premier heavy metal event! The shows we've done at Loud Park in past years have been very special. I truly wish every metal fan could experience this festival - it really is something else! This year will have an awesome vibe as usual I'm sure!"

"By October we'll have a new studio recording released worldwide, and the set we do at Loud Park '09 in Japan will reflect that of course! The title and full details of this album we've been making in somewhat secretive, or at least in a low key manner will be made official very soon...

"We are in the process of finalizing more shows in this part of the world (Australia has already been announced earlier this week). We'll be playing a few locations in the Far East that are new for Arch Enemy - we'll be confirming and announcing live shows over the next days/weeks."

Hard to beat them live, but I'll take a new studio album. Angela's voice makes me all moist and tingly.

Manny Mann - Indeed, Arch Enemy is an amazing band live! So much energy and passion fills the venue. As for the new album, I will definitely be picking it up regardless of anything. I've been a fan of their music even before Angela came on board. I honestly prefer the Angela era of Arch Enemy rather than the Johan era. Both are great imo but, the musical progression between "Black Earth" and "Wages of Sin" is simply phenomenal. Same thing applies to "Stigmata" and "Anthems of Rebellion" and so on.

Ok, so Michael Ammot's an amazing guitarist and a brilliant metal musician, but their singer just makes them sound SOO comedic. When I first heard them, I thought "Ok, someones done it now. There's a new Spinal Tap around now"

Comedic? Really? Just sounds like standard melodeath vocals to me. As far as "comedic" vocalists go, Dani Filth jumps to mind much more quickly.

dani filth is retarded. What's comedic is all the uncool, scene kids who bash Angela cause she's a girl. I question their sexuality.

I dunno, that movie looks pretty interesting to me. I hate Twilight as much as anybody with a testicle or two, but it's not like he created that abomination. One role or a whole resume of bad ones can be redeemed. sh**, did anybody else see Hilary Duff in War Inc?

POV - Actually i'd have to disagree, theres a lot of emo fa**ots (guys) who love Twilight just as much as the fan girls. Though from the super tight f ucking jeans they wear - i'm guessing they don't even have a pair of nuts. If they do its probably too withered to do s hit. But as for what you're saying with redeeming them - yeah I do believe in that but as soon as this hits the fan girls (and guys) they'll all come streaming to see their faggy hero ignorant of the importance this is to black metalists everywhere. I bet they'll even start listening to Mayhem or Burzum and keep their CD's right next to "Fall Out Fags" or "My Chemical Rashcream". F uck!

Even though i'm all for more listeners for the unholy Kingdom of Black metal, I sure as f ucking hell wouldn't be able to stand a bunch of emo fags f ucking it up just like they've done with most metal genre's with their "style over music" approach and generic looks which makes them look like "an individual" even though theres about a couple million of others that look the exact same as them.

True, there could be bad repercussions from this movie. But I'll watch it anyway and ignore the scenesters, just as I like Bullet for My Valentine's music and ignore their retarded fan base. Haha, but tight pants are fine on my nuts, because I rarely wear underwear.

You guys blow this way out of proportion. It's a movie, about a Black Metal jailbird who just got out. Being played by one of the very quiet non essential characters from the Twilight series. I don't think you need to worry about Burzum scenesters.

Save the Emo Dissing for A7X.

b.bristowe - A7X are chat threads remember? Anyways its not just about Varg, according to the news thread, it'll go onto describe where the realm of Black Metal came from. Though I know where you're coming from with it being played by a non-essential character, I really can't say if the f ucking fa**ot emos will start messing s hit up or not though I believe in the myth that as soon as they hear a Gorgoroth or Mayhem track the emo pousers will immeadiatly be crushed with the heavyness and explode. Could happen.
