Crossover thrash favourites Municipal Waste has revealed the album cover for their forthcoming new studio record, "Massive Aggressive." You can check it out below. The album is scheduled to be released on August 25th.

Vocalist Tony Foresta states:"We wanted to work with Andrei Bouzikov again because he is like a brother to us. He is one of the few people that can tolerate me and Ryan’s insane pickiness and attention to detail. Not only that but he is multi talented and can do many different styles of art and understands exactly where we are coming from."

Not really liking the album cover, the last 3 ones were more awesome.

2 be honest, I dont care about album covers. As long as I enjoy the bands music, Im satisfied. An album cover can be plain black & white or have really colorful, artistic designs...makes no difference 2 me.

However, I do like the design of this album cover, the artist (assuming someone drew this) clearly has talent.

I think the album title is better than the artwork, but I also agree that music has become quite intangible nowadays, and the album art itelf has become more of an afterthought as compared to back in the eighties when not only did the album art MATTER, but you also had a foot tall, foot wide representation of it in your hands while listening to it.

I think album covers and artwork are incredibly important. I couldn't see why you'd go to so much effort to create an album, pouring your heart into, and then give it bland, generic and boring artwork. For example, Opeth and Primordial albums were so bland and computer generated it was just an incredible shame, not representing a sliver of the artistic greatness in the music.

For the record I think this cover is great.

great album cover. Municipal Waste kicks ass. Besides it looks like a thrashy cover. And the art work is just as important as the music. I have found alot of bands by the look of the cover as I walked thru new berry comics.

album covers are hte key to success in metal. Just ask cannibal Corpse. They havent made an amazing metal album till Evisceration Plague, maybe Kill even. before that, it was all just bland death metal really. But they are the most popular death metal band in the world.

I enjoy album covers when they really try to give you something cool to look at, instead of, as others said, boring and generic. Origin's last album, Antithesis, for example, had some really cool artwork in it and on the cover, making me really glad I bought instead of downloaded it.

As far as thrash and punk goes, this is an excellent album cover, but I dont care for it personally. I like the album title more though.

Yeah, I think the cover needs to stand out and it's gotten me to buy certain albums I might not have before and discovered a new band. Course I grew up on 80's thrash and 90's death when cover art mattered more, but I still think it's important now.
