Nile To Release New Album In October

Egyptian themed extreme metal band Nile has posted an update on their current situation, their touring plans and their next album. It reads as follows:

"We've been getting lots of questions about Nile's new album and touring, so, we thought we'd give a little update on what Nile is up to these days...

"Nile has been working their fingers to the bone for quite some time, writing and rehearsing to record their new album. On Monday, June 8th they head to Tampa, FL to track drums at Erik Rutan's Mana Recording Studio. Neil Kernon will be on board as well.

"Nile is shooting for an October release of the upcoming album.

"There is a European tour in the works for November of this year, and an American tour planned for January 2010. Details will be announced as they are confirmed."

I love Nile but I'm sorry, the one thing that seems to ruin their discs is rotten production.
WHY are the working with Kernon again???

A nile as fan as well, and a production change wouldnt hurt...though i dont have any major complaints with them...saw them live at mayhem last year...pretty good, scale of 1-10 about a 6...

The production isn't the best, but just just get some headphones and deal with it!
On topic, first day buyer right here. The 3 albums I am/was looking forward to the most are the new ones from Mastodon, Morbid Angel, & Nile. So far Mastodon has set the bar pretty high!

RTB- Dude Nile didn't play the Mayhemfest! You probably are thinking of some scene-band like Suicide Silence or somethiing.

Is he part of the band or are they just using his studio? This year is looking like a great year for metal. Can't wait for this and all the other releases.

RTB: Maybe youre thinking of Ozzfest? Nile was on the freefest first stage, but they didnt get anywhere near mayhem.

I hope for great things from this album. You may complain all you want about Neil Kernan being on board, but they also have Erik Rutan on the metal train. Rutan is god when it comes to making metal albums. (Goatwhore, Cannibal Corpse, Origin)

Now Playing: Hate Eternal- Behold Judas

Sweet. Nevermore and Nile.

I didn't like the quality of there most recent release. If they could master it like Annihilation of the Wicked they would rock.
