Limp Bizkit To Perform At UFC 100 Fan Expo

The most historic event in UFC just got bigger with the announcement that rap-metal pioneers Limp Bizkit are bringing their "Unicorns N' Rainbows" tour to Mandalay Bay Beach on Friday, July 10th to perform in their first North American concert in eight years as a part of the UFC 100 weekend.

“Music is one of the things that make the UFC experience so exciting, and I’ve always been a big fan of Limp Bizkit, so we are excited to have the group perform at UFC 100 event weekend,” said Dana White, UFC President.

"We are proud that our first show in the USA with the original line-up in eight years will be in Las Vegas at UFC 100. The ultimate fighting music has finally found its home with the Ultimate Fighting Championship,” said Fred Durst.

Tickets for Limp Bizkit, not including applicable service charges, go on sale Friday, May 29 at 10 a.m. at all Las Vegas Ticketmaster locations (select Smith’s Food and Drug Centers and Ritmo Latino). To charge by phone with a major credit card, call Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000. Tickets also are available for purchase at www.mandalaybay.com, or www.ticketmaster.com.

Doors will open at 7pm, BoneyB will perform at 8 p.m. and Limp Bizkit will go live at 9 p.m. The concert also will be streamed live on UFC.com.

As part of UFC Fan Expo, Limp Bizkit will appear and sign autographs on the main stage Friday July 10th from 2pm – 3pm, just hours before their U.S. concert premiere. Fred Durst, Wes Borland, Sam Rivers, John Otto, and DJ Lethal are gearing up to record their first new studio album with the original line-up since 2000's Worldwide 12x-platinum "Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water." Flip/Interscope Records will announce more details and a release date in the coming months.

Anyway, I was reading an old issue, and decided tot torture myself by reading about the tours I miss by being in Australia and noticed a big one from late last year. Children Of Bodom, Gwar and Insane Clown Posse were the 3 headliners. Along with Obituary, The Black Dahlia Murder and Mushroomhead.
Admittedly, I like a bit of ICP, but that comes from growing up in the nineties and being a young D_12 fan (and when I was about 9 I got my dad an ICP shirt for fathers day coz there was a fire wraith on the front and I thought it was awesome. I didnt hear any ICP untill a few years later, my P's didnt know them either as they are both metal), although I dont like Eminem now, and yes, I was also a LP fan *puts my head in a noose*.
I also do reviews for the site metal.me and spiritofmetal.com. The latter is a huge french site, and has countless genres, subgenres and subsub genres of metal. As a joke I typed in crappy bands too see if they came up in the search, and ICP did as neocore metal. WHAT THE f*** IS NEOCORE? And how is ICP metal in any sense of the word? And why would they be touring with a bunch of Death Metal bands? WTF?
